Heart Song Inspiration Challenge #22

Happy Monday peeps.  Glad you stopped by for the HSI challenge today.  We are asking you to add some layers (3 or more) and/or some embossing to your creation this week.  I love adding layers to cards.  I think it makes them come alive in a sense.  I'm not a "flat" card girl.  The more layers the better.



I used the pansy frame from Heart Song Designs.  I love this frame because it fits small sentiments perfectly. So many options with this one.

2nd Post - Featured Stamper with a Celebration

Hey peeps.  Wanted to post a card  I made for my daughter's friend who's little girl is moving up to the big girl panties!!  Yay!!!  No more diaper bills. :-)  Well, maybe a backup stash just in case.  This card also worked for Mo's Digital Pencil challenge for a celebration card!!  I think moving up on the big potty is a celebration in itself. LOL  I also had a chance to swing by SCS and play along in the Featured Stampers challenge.  Congrats to Michelle for being featured this week.

Well, I'm off to watch some football.  From the sounds coming from my husband, our NY Giants must of won.  Go big blue!!

Day 10 - Your Next Stamp Holiday Release

Morning, morning peeps.  It's day 10 of the 14 days of holiday release at YNS.  Today I'm showing off the newest image called Snow Fun.  I used to love going sledding as a child. Not so much now since I don't weight 60 lbs and my body is old and weary.  LOL  The body is just not what it used to be.  But this adorable little bear is enjoying sledding over the snow I made for me.  Just too much fun.  Remember this image is available starting right now!!  So head on over to YNS and pick up your new stamps.  There are soooo many being released that I know you will find just the right stamp for your holiday cards.

2nd Post - Got Candy Skeleton Peter

So I just had to make another card today.  I saw this adorable image at Simply Betty Stamps and I just had to have him.  It's called Skeleton Peter.  He's just the most adorable skeleton I have seen.  He's precious!!  LOL  I'm entering him in the Crazy 4 Challenges challenge for this week.  Wow...that was a mouth full.  I hope he'll qualify for the challenge.  You were to incorporate candy into your card but his is in his bag. (wink)  I'm trying to work on coloring things black.  Still have a little ways to go.  If you are need practice on coloring items black check out the CMC for helpful hints.  Suzanne has a ton of information that can help you better your skills using Copic markers.  Her classes are awesome.

Don't know if you are celebrating Halloween today or on Monday but either way, I hope you have a safe and fun Halloween.  Remember to give one piece to the trick or treater and eat two for yourself.  LOL

Boy Inspired Challenge - CMC Style

Good morning peeps.  Awww...I'm so glad you stopped by.  I have a challenge for you today.  All of us at Color Me Creative are showing you our "boy inspired" cards and creations.  The sponsor this week is the one and only Mo's Digital Pencil.  I just love Mo's amazing digital images.  The image on my gift card holder is Matt Typing.  This image so reminds me of my son.  He's always propped up on his bed with his laptop.  Inside is an  Itunes gift card for a friends birthday.  I'm sure he'll put it to good use.

I'm off to try and find a place to repair my IPad.  I cracked the screen last night and I'm so bummed out.  You would of thought I had hurt my child or something.  I'm just so attached to the darn thing.  I need a doctor quick!!!  If it's unrepairable, I guess it's time to upgrade to the IPad 2.  But I did say, I treated it like my child so I guess I can't "technically" call it an upgrade right?!?!  LOL

Day 7 of YNS Goodies

Hey peeps.  Glad you're back.  We just keep on rollin' out the new items at YNS.  Today I'm showing you one of the new die cuts and stamps during the holiday release.  I love hot chocolate during the colder months so I used my little cup die as the accent piece on my hot cocoa holder.  The panel is also a new image from YNS. So adorable! :-)

YNS Challenge #54

Yay...you came back!  So glad you did.  So what did you think about my gift tag?  Well if you thought that was cute, look at this adorable image.  Isn't this just too cute?  This little guy is called Merry Mouse Ornament.  Okay, I just had to use reflective paper for this one.  I had this paper forever and I think I might have used it once.  So it was perfect for today challenge.  I know you like this image as much as I do and you guessed it, it's available TODAY in the YNS store.  So you ask what is the challenge?  Well, it's to make anything but a card!  Yikes....yep that's your challenge.  I know you can do it.  I myself get stuck in a rut of just making cards so this was a great way for me to get out of the norm.  I have some chocolates in this little bag.  Of course I'll be eating it while I'm drinking my wine.  LOL  What's better than chocolate and wine?

HSIC #20

Good morning everyone.  Hope you had a wonderful weekend and I hope your week is starting off just as great.  Today is Monday and you know what we do on Monday....time for another Heart Song Inspirations Challenge.  The challenge this week is to use flowers or felt on your cards.  I have to admit that I don't keep alot of felt if any in my house.  I think I have maybe one red felt flower sitting around my stamproom somewhere.  So I used tons of flowers on my card instead.  They are in the paper, used as the embellishments and also on this adorable floral frame from HSD.  I colored the image with my Copics and Touch Twin markers.  I hope you like my card and play along with us this week.  Remember you have until 6pm SUNDAY Oct 20th to get your card linked up.  Have a wonderful week everyone and hope to see you back again later in the week.

Hey peeps.  A long wait to get into my stamp room today but I made it.  Had a chance to play along with SCS Featured Stamper.  Dawn has a fabulous gallery and I was lost in happiness there.  Here is my case card in honor of her.  Well, today's a quick one.  I smell something good coming from the kitchen.  Hubby is cooking for sure today! :-)  Off to eat and clip some coupons.  A girl has to save for her addiction ...I mean hobby...every way possible.

Color Me Creative Halloween Challenge #29

Hey everyone.  So glad you had a chance to stop back by.  It's that time again for another awesome challenge from CMC.  Since Halloween is right around the corner the design team is showing you some sweet and sometimes scary cards and creations using our Copic markers.  This challenge you have the chance to win a $10 gift certificate from Glitterbabe.  This adorable pumpkin and moon image is from Glitterbabe. Hello my little creepy crawlers.  I have a Halloween treat for you today.  YNS is showcasing some adorable halloween digis.  I chose to show you the spider one.  He's just the cutest.  I covered him with a TON of microbeads to make him have a spooky texture.  He just happened to match my green spider paper.  Love when a card comes together. Color Me Creative Classes - San Jose, CA

No card today.  I have had one full weekend and it's finally almost 7pm and I can start to slow down.  And the dentist sucked all my creative juices from me when she filled me up with novacaine to finish up a crown.  Then charged me $326 for the visit with only a temp crown put in.  Have to go back in two weeks for the permanent one.  Don't cha just love return dental appointments?  Gives you the warm fuzzies doesn't it?  (grrrrr) Anyway, I wanted to pass on some Copic info to you.  If you are in the San Jose area and would like to take a class with Suzanne Dean "the Copic queen" she still has some slots available.  The classes will run Oct 22-23.  For more details check out all the details here.  Now I'm off to unwind and relax a little.  I'll have some amazing cards to show you later in the week.

Kenny K Challenge #63

Hey peeps.  I hope everyone has had a wonderful week thus far.  Mine is going GREAT.  Wanted to quickly show you a card that I'm submitting into this week's challenge at Kenny K Krafty Girlz.   The challenge was to use more than one girl and a die cut on your card.  I love these two images from KK so I colored them up with my Copic markers to match this awesome red and brown paper I had and couldn't wait to use.  Only used my R17, R46, E57, E47 with a hint of E49 along with my standard E13, E11, E00 markers to color my image to match the paper.  See not a lot of markers for such a cool card. :-) I think they came out super cute.  Remember you can find some great tips on coloring with Copics over at the Color Me Creative Classroom.  I'm learning so much as being a member of this team.  You should come check us out.

Good morning my pumpkins.  I hope you are waking up this morning to a wonderfully blessed morning.  I have to say, when I came out of church yesterday I was renewed.  And I'm going to carry that feeling with me throughout the day today.  I am blessed to know that I come for the King of Kings!!!  So I'm starting my day off with my HSI challenge giving praise to the one above.  I used Leah's adorable birdsong image for my vocal point along with the Verve sentiment. To add to the fun, I followed Jen's SFYTT layout.  I really like this sketch.  Works perfectly with my little birdie.

Design Team Announcement - Color Me Creative

Hey everyone.  I don't have a card to show you but I do have some awesome news to share.  Drum roll please.......I've been selected for the COLOR ME CREATIVE design team.  I'm so super excited to be joining such a group of wonderfully talented ladies and honored to have been chosen.  Can't wait to share with you some of the upcoming challenges we will be having.  It will really get me working on my Copic skillz and having a chance to learn more ways to use them.  Well that's it for right now.  Short and sweet today.
