Tiddly Inks Challenge

Hey peeps.  It's the wee hours of the morning and I just felt the need to jump on a challenge.  When I can't sleep, I might as well just stamp. :-)  Anyway I'm ending my late night hour card into the Tiddly Inks Challenge.  For the inspiration on my card I chose to case the layout of Melissa's card.  I stretched my card out a bit and made it long enough to slip into a business size envelope.  I wanted more room to write inside so I can send a "keep up the good grades" note to my niece.  She's off doing her thing in culinary school.  So proud of her.

Well, I guess I should try and get some shut eye.  If not, it's more cards making.  ;-)

Color Me Creative Challenge - Monster Fun

Hey peeps.  Glad you stopped by today.  The design team at Color Me Creative is at it again with another challenge.  We are challenging you to get creative with some bright and fun colors.  My card is featuring the adorable image from SCACD called The Oddly Sweet Curiosities Sets .  I love this sweet little monsters.  I thought mine would look great against a spooky spider web.  I had the web from my Silhouette Cameo.  Did I already tell you that I'm in love with this machine?!?  Just in case you forgot.  :-)    Anyway, I paired my little monster with a SU sentiment and web boarder from with my MS punch.

Hope you come and join in on the fun.  Make sure you swing by CMC and check out what the other ladies have come up with.  You are going to love what you see.

A Card of a Different Shape

Hey peeps.  So glad you stopped by today.  I had a chance to get in my stamp room and hammer out a card for a few challenge.  I love how this one came out.  The image is from Saturated Canary named Boobie Love.  This is the first time I have colored her up and I must say I love the way she came out.  Now, I think I want to cut my hair that way.  LOL  She was colored with Copic markers in deep skin tone colors (E13, E23, E25). I didn't want her just to have the normal black/dark brown hair so I used E97, E19, E08, E39 and E59.  I know a ton of color for one head.  LOL

I'm entering my card into the Cute Card Thursday challenge (different shaped card) and the Saturated Canary challenge (B themed...blue, buttons, butterfly).

Thanks for swinging by today.  I really need to get working on my Christmas cards.  Just maybe I'll get some done today.

Fun Friday with Your Next Stamp

Hey peeps.  Glad you're back.  Today we are having fun with another Fun Friday at Your Next Stamp.  We are in the mood for some spooky Halloween treats.  Well in my case, cute Halloween treat boxes.  EEK the Bat is flying into a classroom here in middle Georgia to visit some first graders.  LOL  I thought this would make a great trick or treat box for the little ones.  I colored EEK with my Koh-I-Noor Woodless Colour Pencils and some Gamsol.  And the box is made out of K&Company Tim Coffey Halloween I Want Candy paper.

Here's a close-up. I had some little googly eyes in my stash and they fit PERFECT.  I'm sure the kids are going to love him. Isn't he too cute!?!?  I think I might make some more goodie boxes for some of my co-workers.  Yes, they are kids at heart. :-)

Now for a tidbit on how I store my baker's twine.  I saw this idea on Pintrest (sorry I can't remember the actual link) and thought what a fantastic way to store my twine instead of just placed neatly in a drawer.  You can also see in the picture a glimpse of how I store my paper too.  Organized by color. :-)

Hope you had fun today swinging by my blog.  Don't forget to swing by Your Next Stamp and see more Halloween creations and storage tips.

Feeling Like Fall

Hey peeps.  Today's card is brought to you by Color Me Creative.  :-)  Yep, it's starting to feel like fall is in the air.  The weather is cooling down and the nights are differently colder.  Which I am certainly happy about. There is something about fall that I love.

So over at CMC we want to see your fall creations.  My card is made with the adorable image from Bugaboo called Pumpkin Patch.  I changed up my coloring for this card and used colored pencils and gamsol.  I haven't used my pencils in forever but this image just looked like Copics might be a little bit too harsh if you know what I mean.  Sorry Suzanne for stepping outside the box on this one.  But Suzanne does have a wonderful Prisma Pencil class for you to learn how to use your pencils.  I'm following the I Heart 2 Stamp sketch design for my card.  Really let's this image speak instead of the paper.

Well, I sure hope you join in on the fun with us at CMC.  Remember you have until Friday Sept 28th to get you project loaded.

MFT and FS

Morning peeps.  Hope all is well in blog land.  I'm up and in the stamp room getting a card out today.  This one is for this week's sketch over at MFT  and the SCS Featured Stamper challenge.  A BIG congrats to Angela for being chosen this week.  She has an awesome gallery.

My card is made with the Talk Nerdy To Me stamp set from My Favorite Things.  Love this set.  I also used MFT Fish Tails die-namic and Spellbinders Banner die cut.  The paper is from  Authentique Celebrate paper pack and some Bazzill paper.  I love how bright this card turned out.  At first I wasn't really digging this paper pack but having used it I think I'm in love.

Have a fabulous day and week!! Please feel free to stop by again this week.  I might have time to get in a card or project to share with you.

YNS Fun Friday

Hey peeps.  So are you still drooling over the new releases at YNS?  Told you they were awesome.  Today's Fun Friday card is made with my new love.  Yup, I purchased a Silhouette Cameo.  I can see so many fun designs with this baby and my YNS stamps.  The adorable bat on my card is EEK the bat.  He's more fun than scary.  Just the way I like my bats.  LOL  I colored him up with my Copic markers and there he landed right on my card.

Now since my card is done I wanted to tell you how I store some of my YNS images. I divide them up in categories (holidays, animals, sentiments, etc).  Then I place them in little baggies.  This way when I'm working all I have to do is grab the bag from the drawer and get to stamping.

Here's a picture.  I know...not very classy but it does the trick for me.

Super easy way for me to keep track of everything in one place.  I also started an Excel spread sheet with all the sentiments I own so this way when I'm looking for a particular sentiment I know right where to find it.

Hope this little tid bit has helped you out in organizing some of your stamping supplies.  Don't forget Karen has some great fall and holiday stamps in store so swing on by and get your spook on!!

Happiness is Sweet

Hey peeps.  Back with another challenge card.  I hate that summer is ending and fall is just about to begin.  So I thought I would make one more card with a summer image from Mo's Digital Pencil and join in on their "layers" challenge.  This little one reminds me of  the summer time treat kids love....ICE CREAM!!  And I must say it's not just for the kiddos.  I rather have ice cream for dinner instead of a meal. But I can because I'm GROWN.  LOL

Anyway the colors for my card came from the Color Throwdown Challenge (melon mambo, barely banana, peach parfait and gable green).  I think I might have nailed this one. :-)

Thanks for swing by my place today.  See ya back here soon.

Pucker Up

Morning peeps!!  Hope your day is off to a great one!  I'm in my stamp room doing a little bit of card making and decided to join in on some challenges.  I'm in a cheery kind of mood today so I thought a bright and fun card was in order.  I love these little fishes from Sweet and Sassy stamps.  I've had the Pucker Up image colored up for a while now and they were perfect for today's card.

I'm entering this card into the following challenges:

Sweet and Sassy - Something New, Old and Blue
iSpy Sketches - sketch challenge
Cute Card Thursday - Stitch In Time

Well what's the verdict?  Do you like my card?  Hope you do.  I'm off to do a little more creating while the juices are flowing.

CMC Challenge

Hey peeps.  How's it going today?  It's time for another CMC challenge.  The scope for this challenge is to use yellow, brown, kraft and white.  The imaged I used from Pattie's Creations is called Bloomin' Bucket.  I colored the flowers with Copics then decided to add some liquid pearls to them.  Just a little bit to add some depth.  I then tried (key word tired meaning "I can't color like Suzanne Dean") to make the bucket look a little rusted.  Didn't work out the way I wanted it to but I'm still learning.  If you haven't picked up Suzanne's Copic Class 5 you really have to put it on your list.  She gives great details and information to enhance your Copic skills.  I think my bucket came out good but not GREAT like Suzanne's.  Practice makes perfect. :-)

I also saw on Pinterest an interesting way to use Copic markers with your embossing folders. After your run your paper through your embossing machine, take your Copic markers and shade in the areas that are not raised.  Really cool technique.  This is another practice makes perfect technique.  So many ways to use this ever addicting markers. :-)  I added some Washi tape to add in a little bit more brown to my card.

Well, let's see what you can do with your Copics and other alcohol markers.  You have until FRIDAY Sept 14th to get your project done and linked up at CMC.  Can't wait to see your creations.

Hugs and love~
