What's Cooking

Hey peeps.  What a blessed Sunday it is that I am able to get back in my stamp room and create some inspiration.  As you know I'm in the final round for the Kraftin' Kimmie Guest DT spot.  Well here is another card to throw into the hat.  I got the layout from one of Laura Nehring's card over at Splitcoaststampers.  I used the Agnes image from Kraftin' Kimmie.  The paper is from the Lost & Found Two Rosy paper pack from My Mind's Eye. I love this paper pack.

Of course she was colored up with Copic markers.  I can't remember the last time I made a card that I didn't have to color.  It's so addicting and therapeutic at the same time.

Here is what the inside of the card looks like.  I used paper from the same paper pack and the sentiment that came with this set.  I used a Martha Stewart border to decorate the bottom of the card.

And last but not least, here is a closeup shot.  I paper pieced her dress.  I love the print of the paper.  Gives a nice look to the card.  Super cute and fun to do.

Well, that's all for today peeps.  It's one of those rainy days here in Georgia.  I guess I'll go catch up on some Pinterest and Candy Crush!  Both are going to be the death of me.  LOL

Kraftin Kimmie - Happy 4th

Hey peeps!  Glad you stopped back by today.  I've been rather busy in my stamp room creating and clearing stuff.  I had a chance to sit down and create my next card for the finalist challenge over at Kraftin' Kimmie.  Since the 4th of July is next week and I'm a little bit behind I thought I would get the stamps cracking with a celebratory card for the challenge.
I used the Dance In The Rain set for Kraftin' Kimmie.  I colored her with Copic markers and paper pieced her adorable dress.  I have to say that this image is right up there with the ones I love the most from KK.  Sure hope I win this challenge so I can add more stamps to my collect. :-)

The paper is from Doodlebug Design called Stars and Stripe.  Yup, I'm going to have to order more of this paper.  I LOVE the color combinations in this pack.  You can really use it for any occasion. I used Your Next Stamp dies to cut out the arrows and flags.  The stars are from Spellbinders.

Here's a closeup of the image.  Isn't she just too cute!?!?!  Thanks for swinging back by today.  Hopefully I'll get back in my room tomorrow with another card or project.  And don't forget to start following me on Bloglovin

Kraftin Kimmie - Onto Round 2

Hey peeps.  I'm back with another card for you.  I was selected as one of the Top 10 to go onto the second round as a Guest Designer at Kraftin' Kimmie.  Well here is my entry for Round 2. I used an image from the Flirty Fairies 2 collection.  I colored my sweet fairy with Copic Markers and added glitter onto her wings, shoes and antennas. The paper is from the Doodlebug Design Flower Box paper pack.  The solid paper is from my stash of Bazzill paper.  I used the sentiment from a retired TAC set and used the sentiment from the KK image inside the card.

Here is a closeup of my fairy all glittered up and sparkling!  I used the following Copic markers:
E00, E11, E13
E74, E77, E79, E49
RV25, R36
Y32, Y35, Y38
YG03, YG17, YG25

And last is the inside of my card.  I used the So Fairy Sweet sentiment from the Flirty Fairies 2 set.  The inside of the card is lined with the same paper I used on the outside of my card.  I had this cute little plastic flowers in my flower bin and they went perfectly with my paper.

Well, so glad you stopped by again.  Wish me luck as I head into the next round.  I'll be back with more inspiration in the coming days.

Color Me Creative Challenge

Morning peeps.  I'm back with another Color Me Creative challenge.  Get the summer feeling going with a card using blues, greens, yellow and orange.  I used the  image called I Want To Be Like Dad from this our sponsor Milk Coffee.  I made this Father's Day card for a friend of mine.  Your son is always mirroring his dad.  It's just the sweetest thing to see.

Of course I colored up my image with Copic Makers and used paper from my MME Lost and Found Breeze paper pack.  I really like the way this card turned out.

Now join in on the fun.  I would LOVE to see your cards and projects.  I get so much inspiration from all of you who participate in the challenges.  And don't forget that you still have time to pick up one of Suzanne's amazing Copic classes for $8 OFF EACH CLASS!!

Your Next Stamp After Release Party

Hey peeps!  So how did you enjoy the blog hop for Your Next Stamp?  Some really great sets for you to fall in love with.  Well, I'm not done showing you more cards for inspiration to fill your shopping cart over at Your Next Stamp. For my first card I'm using the Barn Yard Love set.  Isn't this little farmer just the cutest?!?! I used MME On The Bright Side and SU paper for this project.  Of course she was colored with my Copic Markers and I used chalk to make the clouds.

My next card is featuring the Sit Back and Relax set.  Oh I wish I could live in this card.  LOL  This set is so relaxing to me and makes me want to head straight to the beach.  I used watercolor paper and SU ink to color my image.  It matched perfectly with Echo Park Paradise Beach paper.  The background paper is Bazzill and I used my EK punch to add an accent strip down the side of my card.

So glad you had the chance to swing back my today.  Now head on over to Your Next Stamp and fill up a cart with all the new dies and images from this release.  You will be glad you did.

Hugs and love!

Mo's Digial Pencil Challenge 190

Hey peeps.  Had a little bit of time to get into my stamp room today and create a card.  I'm using this card to enter into the Mo's Digital Pencil challenge.  For this challenge you had to use a Mo's image with bright colors.  Well I think I can check that box. :-)  I colored this image with my Copic markers and grabbed some bright colored paper from my scrap then and viola a card is done!!

Well I'm off to finish laundry and watch my husband do some handy work outside.  I love having a husband who is great with tools.

Hugs and love~

Hugs and Kisses

Hey peeps.  Back with another card for the Kraftin' Kimmie Guest Spot try outs. This image from Kraftin' Kimmie is retired I believe because I can't find it on the website.  I colored my cutie with Copic Markers and add some Sugar Shine glitter to her hairbows and dress.  The great thing about Kraftin' Kimmie images are the large images that really get my creative coloring going.  I find myself using so many new hair combinations when I color these images.  The sentiment is from Pink Poison.  I grabbed this paper out of my paper stash.

Well, thanks for swinging by today.  Hope to be back later today with another card to share.  :-)

Hugs and love~

Mo's Digital Pencil - School's Out

Hey peeps.  Back with a quick card.  I just had to play along with this week's challenge over at Mo's Digital Pencil. The theme was School's Out!  Well I know a few teachers who are going to be doing some beach retreating away for all of their students.

I have to give a HUGE applaud to all the teachers out there.  You do a remarkable job with sometimes the most challenging kids EVER!!  So I toast to you and a job well done. I can say I never had the patience to be a teacher.  Oh, Lord I would of been fired with some of the kids in this world today.  My mother instinct would of kicked in and a little bit of "who do you think you are talking too?" would be slipping out.  And not in a good way.  LOL

Well thanks for stopping by today.  Hope to see ya back here later in the week.

Hugs and love~

Kraftin' Kimmie

Hey peeps.  I'm back with another card for the DT guest spot try out over at Kraftin' Kimmie.  I loved coloring in Natsuko.  She reminds me of a young lady that I used to work with.  I colored her up with my Copic makers (not a surprise I know). ;-)  I spend most of my time coloring up images than I do having to pick out the paper.  This one was kind of hard because I got carried away one night just coloring up images and I didn't have the paper picked out for this one.  The paper is from my scrap bin and I don't remember where it came from.

Well peeps wish me good luck in the try outs!  I will be back later this week with a little more inspiration and maybe, just maybe some exciting news!!

Hugs and love~

Sparkle

Hey peeps.  I hope all the dad's out there had a wonderful Father's Day.  We treated my husband to a "don't call me name, ask your Mother" kind of day. ;-)  Perfect for me because it gave me a chance to get some stamping done.  I had this image colored up and could not wait to share it.  I thought I would enter it into the Kraftin' Kimmie August DT Guest Spot competition.  I think I'm in love with how this card turned out. I'm also going to enter it into The Paper Players Bring On The Bling challenge as well.

Well, my day has come to an end and I must retreat to the bedroom for my beauty sleep.  Monday mornings always come around so FAST!!  Grrrrr!!!  So glad you took a peek at my blog today.  Hope to see ya back here soon.

Dance In The Rain

What a very appropriate card for the weather we are having here in Georgia.  It's been raining cats and dogs.  Great weather to either sleep in or stamp.  I'll take the latter please. :-)  Had a chance to get into my stamp room and create this card for the Kraftin' Kimmie challenge.  The challenge this week was to paper piece your image.  Luck would have it that I had this darling all colored up.  So all I had to do was paper piece her dress.  I think she is just the cutest!!

Well a big bolt of thunder just shook the house so I'll going to go hide in the closet.  I hate THUNDER!! YIKES.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Hugs and love~

Busy, busy, BUSY!!

Hey peeps.  Sorry I have been missing in action.  The last few weeks have been a complete blur!  First my son graduated from high school.  Can I tell you, I was a HUGE baby!  I cried and cried.  Then cried some more.  Oh, where does the time go?  We are soon to be empty nesters and I don't like it one bit. Umph!!!!

Anyway I wanted to quickly show you some the the items I made using my Silhouette.  Boy did this baby come in handy. Here are some Graduation Cap Candy holders I made.  I used my Xyron adhesive to hold everything together.  Sure easy and the kids LOVED them.  The best part for me was the candy inside.  Yummy Jelly Belly Jelly Beans!

Then I made some stars for the other candy buckets.  One had Smarties in them and the other one had Rock Candy.  Oh these were HUGE hits for the graduates!

Whew, thank goodness all that is behind us.  I am sad that the day is gone but it's onward and upward in the Joy household.  Time for college and big careers.  My hubby and I celebrate out 20th wedding anniversary a few days later.  I would say we are truly blessed!  Here's a photo for my family.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I'll be back later in the week with some cards and such.

Hugs and love~
