Banner Heart

Hey peeps.  Two more cards I have to show you.  I know, I said I was done.  But ya know, love is in the air so why not go with the flow?  This one was really easy to put together since the paper already had the cute banners on it.  So all I had to do was stamp and cut the heart out.  Add a sentiment and this one is done!

The paper is from the Recollections Valentine paper pack.  The stamp is Inkadinkado Hearts stamp set.  Lastly the sentiment came from My Favorite Things Lovey Dovey Sentiments set.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I'll be back soon to announce the winner of my blog candy.  Until then...

Open My Heart

Hey peeps.  Slowly coming to an end with my Valentine's Day cards.  I have one or two more to show you and it's over for 2014.  Today's card was made with the newly released Transform-able Heart Full Of Love die-namic from My Favorite Things.  I have to say I'm in love with the versatility of this die.  Today I cut the solid heart on Martha Stewart Valentine designer paper.  Love this double sided paper.  Then I cut the inner heart on Neenah white paper and then again on Bazzill light pink paper.  I gently cut the love sentiment from the pink paper and adhered it to the white heart.  This way my heart was two toned.  I then ran some kraft paper through my Cuttlebug with my Sizzix Jar Label background embossing folder.  Matted all my layers using the Perfect Layers tool and I was done.  But then I needed to add a little umph to my card so I grab a Recollections Valentine clothespin and some Recollections enamel dots to finish it all off.

Well, hope you enjoyed the preview of my Valentine's day card.  I'm about to take a nap.  Creating today has worn me out.

Run JENN Run!

Hey peeps.  A small break from V-day cards to make a quick card for my friend Jenn.  You see Jenn is a runner and when I saw this image I knew I had to make her a card.  I have always wanted to be a runner.  Ya know, get into that zone and run with the wind.  Yup, not me.  I run towards the wind and it chokes the hell out of me.  I'm so "winded" in the end, it feels like my chest is about to cave in.  So Jenn, you are my inspiration for one day I will "get in the zone".

A little bit of more exciting news.  I am now an ambassador for Perfect Paper Crafting. I used the amazing Perfect Layers Deluxe tool to mat my card stock today.  It's super easy as you no longer have to measure to get the perfect mat for your project.  Just pick the size on the ruler, lay it next to your photo or scrap paper and cut with an craft knife.  Super easy.  You get three rulers in the set for up to 10 different measurements.  But wait, theres more.  If you purchase this remarkable tool and mention the code DANA5% at checkout, you will receive 5% off your order.  Now tell me you love saving MONEY!

Now this little gem of a card is heading over to the Some Odd Girl Challenge.  Thought I would sneak one more card in before the challenge closed.  The image is from Some Odd Girl.  The tags were cut with my Silhouette.  The paper is from the My Mind's Eye The Sweetest Thing paper pack. And there you have it.

Thanks for swinging by today.  Now back to card making for me.

Straight From The Heart

Hey peeps.  Still producing my Valentine's Day cards.  I had tons of fun making this card.  First, the paper is A-MAZ-ING!  It's from the January Stamp Kit from Simon Says Stamp.  Crazy pretty paper in this kit.  I loosely followed a sketch that came in the kit to make this card.  But don't you just love the embossed hearts on the light pink paper?  Love is fabulous if I must say so myself.  Yes even after 10+ years I'm still in love...with cardmaking that is.  LOL  And even more in love with my 20+ years of marriage to my high school sweet heart.  But sometimes when the hubby take me "there", stamping becomes my first love.  Hell, it's doesn't talk back, makes me feel so talented and looks gorgeous at the end of the day.  What more could a girl ask for? (insert evil grin).

Now tell me what or who makes you fall in love?  It can be anything from your hubby, kids, a bottle of glitter.  You know the small things do add up. ;-)  Make sure to swing back by tomorrow as I'll have another card to share.  For all my peeps here in Georgia, please be careful out there today in this weather.  You know you guys are not used to snow!  But me, I'm a die hard JERSEY GIRL.  Bring it on!!!

I Only Have EYES For You

Hey peeps.  I'm still at it.  Here's another V-day card.  I LOVE this one!!  This little alien from Simon Says Stamp I Only Have Eyes of You set is hilarious to me!  So darn cuuutteee!  I gave him three googly eyes.  He's so dapper!

This one was a rather quick and easy card.  I stamped the image on striped paper and cut him out. The strip of paper down the side of the card is also from the SSS January kit and the enamel dots are from Recollections.  Easy five minute card for anyone to do.

I'm in my stamp room today trying to do some test YouTube videos.  Okay, this video taping thing is harder than I thought.  But I'm cracking myself up trying to just complete an intro one.  LOL, it's going to be a long night.

Love You Sew Much

Hey peeps.  I'm back with a Valentine's Day card.  Yes, I listened to "Dana" this morning and started once again on my V-day cards so I won't fall behind.  I must say I "sew" like the way this card came out.  The sentiment and pattern paper are from the January Simon Says Stamp kit.  Don't cha just love that adorable sentiment?  The stitched words are sooo cute!  I heat embossed some of the other stamps that came in this kit.  Matter of fact, the kit comes with card layouts so I just cased on of the cards from the sheet.  Didn't have to think too hard on this one.  :-)  I'm sending this one over to Splitcoaststampers to include it in the Featured Stamper Challenge.  Congrats to Doni High for being featured this week.  She has one fabulous gallery to case.  I'm also entering the Cute Card Thursday Challenge and Delightful Challenges.

Well, thanks for swing by today.  I have get back to my stamp room to finish making a few more cards.  I swear my "boss" is so mean. ;-)

Should be making V-day card...but HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

Hey peeps. The conversation in my head this morning.  "Dana don't stray and make other cards today.  Only Valentine's Day cards.  Got it?"  My inner spirit "Got it Boss. I'm on it".  Well how did that go Dana?  LOL  I haven't made one V-day card but I did get a birthday one done.  LOL   And just in time for the January Gallery Challenge over at PaperCrafts Connection.  I think a little shopping is in order today anyway.  That will be me come March.  Squeezed into a tight fitting dress with a birthday bag full of goodies!  Just saying!

But on to bigger news!!  I have been selected to join the ever talented group of ladies over at Parade Your Crafts.  Thank you Lisa for selecting me to be apart of the time.  And I also started my Got Joy Creations - Dana Joy Facebook Page.  WHAT...stepping on the wild side girl!!  Well I guess I better get my "parading" butt back in my stamp room and crank out this V-day cards.

For The LOVE Of It All

Hey peeps.  HAPPY FRIDAY!!!  Well we made it through another week.  So what time is happy hour? ;-)  I'm back with another Valentine's Day card.  And can you believe that I didn't have to stamp or color one thing for this card?  Please forgive me for I have sinned against my Copic makers.  I LOVE this new die cut called Transform-ables Heart Full Of Love from My Favorite Things.  It makes a quick and gorgeous card in minutes.  That's if you can get your Cuttlebug to work right.  Nope, mine had me put a whoopin' on it last night.  Oh she was so stubborn.  But in the end I won and that's all that matters.  I followed a technique that Jennifer McGuire did with cutting strips of cardstock and lining an entire sheet of white cardstock.  Then all I did was run it through my Cuttlebug with my die and viola I'm spreading the love!  And JOY of course. LOL  I added a few sequins to cover up some of the empty space.  I"ll be whipping out a bunch of these cards tonight in different colors.

Now, since I'm on the topic of LOVE...I thought I would show my followers how much LOVE I have for all of you.  I'll be giving away these Valentine goodies to one lucky winner.

This way you too can get started on your Valentine's Day cards.  For your chance to winner all you have to do is become a follower of my blog and spread the word about my goodies on your blog sidebar.  I will draw the name of one lucky winner on FRIDAY JANUARY 31ST

Will You Be Mine?

Hey peeps.  I hope everyone is starting off their week on a good note.  I'm back in my stamp room cranking out some Valentine's Day cards.  Yup, I'm ahead of the game.  I plan on selling some of my cards this year so if you are interested in something you see, please let me know.

Now on to the details of the card.  I started off with SU Whisper White paper and embossed it with a Darcie Heart embossing folder.  Next I used Inkadinkado Hearts stamp and heat embossed them with red embossing powder.  The sentiment is from MFT Lovey Dovey Sentiments set.  I'm going to enter my card into the Really Reasonable Ribbons challenge.

Thanks for swing by today.  I'll be working on some videos for my upcoming YouTube channel this week.  Wish me luck.  :-)

Cute Card Thursday Challenge

Hey peeps.  It seems like forever since I've posted a card.  I know it's only been a little over a week I think but in my mind...it's been FOREVER!  LOL  Anyway, I'm back with a cute card I made for the Cute Card Thursday challenge.  As you have heard me mention a million times before, I have a box full of images that are colored up and ready to be made into cards.  Well this adorable little mouse is one of them.  I can't remember the company this little guy comes from but he sure is cute.  I also already had my paper picked for this image so the card was finished in under five minutes.  I think that's a record!  That's the great part of having my handy box of "joyful" creations.  :-)

As I finally settle in from being away and I'm back in my stamproom I promise to get cracking on my YouTube channel and more craftin' madness for all my followers.  Until then....

Some Odd Girl Challenge and Seasons Giving Winners

Hey peeps.  Back with a new card.  First let me say I had a blast coloring this Some Odd Girl Woodsy Mae image.  When I printed her out I knew I wanted her to be a show stopper on my card.  Well I think I conquered that.  LOL. With that being said, I made a rather large tag out of my image for the Some Odd Girl Tag You're It challenge.  Of course I used my Copic markers for the main image and some used chalk to make the clouds.  Since I'm not in my stamp I'm pretty limited on what I have on hand. But I'm making it work.  I FINALLY used some of my ever growing stash of washi tape.  Can you say I'm in LOVE?!?

Now on to some exciting news.  I believe I'm going to make two people very happy today.  My twin sister picked the winning numbers out of a bag today for the Seasons Giving blog hop.  And the winners are.......

Lee Murphy - My Reality It's All Good
Angela Bode - I Would Rather Be Stamping

Congrats ladies.  Please contact me at mzdjoy@yahoo.com within two days to claim your prizes.  If no contact has been made, I will draw two more winners.

Is It Summer YET?!?

Good morning peeps.  Hope everyone is having a great day.  If you are anywhere near the freezing temperatures like I am here in New Jersey bundle up baby cuz it's cold outside.  I think the high today is 11 degrees.  I need to get back home to Georgia.  This New Jersey native has been "southernized" and can't take the cold any more. LOL

Thought since I am stuck in the house huddled under blankets I would post a card for you.  This summer themed card (yes, I'm already looking forward to summer) is for the Make It Colorful challenge.  I made a beach scene for my image.  Not sure of the name of this image as I colored it up at my friends house.  I made the sand part by coloring white paper with my E30 marker and making the "grains" with E53 and E51.

Hope you enjoyed your visit today.  Hope to be back later in the week with another card.  Be safe and keep warm until then.

Hugs and love~

Sew Easy

Hey peeps.  Back with a new card and I have to say I love the way this one came out.  I'm trying my best to stay crafty while I'm not at home.  My sister set me up with a crafting spot at her house so I think I can keep posting until I get back to my stamproom.  But I will tell you that blogger is a pain in the $$$ to use on my Ipad to upload photos.

Anyway on to my card.  I'm giving a go one more time at the MFT challenge.  Also entering my card in the Creative Card Crew challenge. This stamp set is called Sew Nifty and it's from My Favorite things!  I think they may no longer carery this ine.  But I think its super cute.  You will see this stamp again.  So many things running through my mind with this one.  Don't forget you still have time to win my goodies from the Seasons Greetings blog hop.  Just leave a comment!  Easy peasy!!!

Color Me Creative Challenge

Hey peeps.  It's time for another challenge over at Color Me Creative.  You have free range with your card.  The challenge is an anything goes so let's start 2014 off  with some coloring and card making!! I used this adorable bachelorette image from Kenny K.  I've had this image FORVER.  I love the look on her face.  PRICELESS!!!!  I followed the sketch layout over at Sketch N Stash for this card.  I'm crafting from my sisters home so I don't have all of my craft supplies with me.  What a nightmare at the airport for the items I did bring.  My luggage was a little over and they charged with an additional $200 to get my bags on the damn plane!!  One was two pounds over and the other one four pounds.  I had no choice but to pay since I couldn't just let me stuff go in the trash.  GRRRRR...I was not happy!  Lesson learned as I will be mailing back all of my stamping stuff along with some clothes so I will not be paying that ridiculous fee to get back home.

Okay, enough of my complaining.  I'm entering my card into the Sketch N Stash and Kenny K challenges.  I hope everyone has stepped into 2014 healthy and blessed.  Can't wait to see what you create.

Hugs and love~

Kenny K and Sister Act challenge card

Hey peeps.  Back with a quick card.  I wanted to jump in on the fun over at Kenny K and Sister Act challenges.  I had this image partially colored so all I need to do was finish it up and get it on a card.  I like how this image is the spotlight of my card.

I am limited to the supplies I have with me while I am not at home so no diecuts on this card.  Sad face!!  But as soon as I get back home, I will be putting my Cuttlebug to work.  LOL

Thanks for stopping by today.

MFT Challenges - First card of 2014

Hey peeps.  Back with my first card for 2014.  YAY!!! You will have to excuse the way my card looks as I'm not at home in my stamproom creating.  My card was edited on my IPhone.  What's a girl to do?  I couldn't leave my house and not take my stamping supplies with me.  That would of been a sin.  😝

Anyway, I had the chance during a quick few minutes to crank out a card for the My Favorite Things challenges.  I used Sketch Challenge 157 for my layout and thr color palette challenge for my colors. I picked up the Right on Target stamp set during their sale right before the holiday.  Merry Christmas to me.  😉

Well thanks for swinging by today.  And don't forget you still have time to comment on the blog hop!
