Shaker Card Video

Hey peeps.  As promised I'm back with my video for the shaker card I made earlier.  Here's a close up of the card I made.  I have to say I might be making a TON more of these cards.  Super easy to do and they are just darn right too cute.  I mean you can put anything in a shaker card.

Let me stop running my mouth and show you the video.  I hope you enjoy it and it gives you some inspiration to make your own shaker card.  Happy hump day everyone.

Time to Get Sketching!

Hey peeps.  Happy hump day.  Well another Wednesday has rolled around so you know what that means.  Time for a new sketch challenge over at SCS.  I have found in my stash that I'm running a little low on birthday cards.  This sketch worked perfect me to add that bold sentiment on my card.

As you can tell I'm like in the "happy spring mode:.  LOL  I love making cards this time of year because I gravitate to more colorful paper.  This dp is from Doodlbug Designs and it's called Take Note.  The balloon and sentiment are from Simon Says Stamp.

Well, thanks for stopping by today.  Gotta get some DT work done before the end of the day.

Grandma's Garden - Some Odd Girl

Hey peeps.  Time for another Some Odd Girl digi release.  This image was totally me last weekend.  I planted a vegetable garden in my yard.  I love having a garden and watching your own food grow.  Anyway, this image called Grandma's Garden is the perfect image for all the gardening ladies you know.  I colored her up with my Copic markers of course and used My Mind's Eye Miss Caroline Dolled up paper pack.

This image is up and available right now!  So don't wait to get your hands on this sweet image.  Also if your not part of the Some Odd Girl Community on Facebook you're missing out.  Come join in on the fun.  We would love to have you.

If you are looking for even more inspiration, check out the Some Odd Girl Youtube channel.  One word...FABULOUS.

What's Shakin'!

Hey peeps.  Oh it's a glorious day here in GA.  The sun is out.  There's a cool breeze.  Just perfect.  While going through my normal blog roll I saw that Pretty Pink Posh was having a blog hop.  And the "theme" was shaker cards.  Well I haven't made a shaker card in ages so I was thrilled to join in on the fun.

So here is the card I created for the hop.  This sentiment seems to be my go to lately.  I just think it fits any kind of occasion where you might not be feeling your best.  Trust me, I painted myself a few colors last week.  The adorable paint brush is from My Favorite Things.  My Doodlebug Design Take Note paper pack went perfect with the Memento Luxe ink pads I used.

Here's a close up of my card.  I love those pretty sequin I used.  It's a mix of Lawn Fawn and Hobby Lobby sequins.  I'm rather happy with the way my card turned out.  I"ll upload the video I made while creating this card sometime this week.

Time to head back outside with a "adult" beverage and enjoy the rest of this day.  I hope you are having a great day wherever you are.  Enjoy it, they go by waaayyy too fast these days.

Wishing You Sunshine

Hey peeps.  Happy Friday.  Ahh..the weekend is upon use.  Let's make it a good one peeps.  So I'm sending each of you this "virtual" card.  Everyone can use a little sunshine.

Now can you believe I did not pull out my Copic markers for this card?  I know scary right?  Since my paper had all the color I needed this card was a delight to put together.  The paper is from Lawn Fawn and it's called Hello Sunshine.  How appropriate for the stamp set I used from My Favorite Things.  Do you see a theme going on here?  The sun die cut is also from My Favorite Things.  And lastly but not least, the sequins are from a package of mixed sequins from Lawn Fawn. I'm entering my card in the MFT sketch challenge.

Well everyone have a blessed and sun filled weekend.  Come back and see me soon.

It's Sketch Time - SCS485

Hey peeps.  Well another hump day is upon us so that means it's sketch time over at Splitcoaststampers.  I just received my new goodies from the Papertrey Ink newest release.  I'm in love.  That's all I can say!.  LOL

For my card I used the Phrase Play #3 mini set along with the matching die.  I love the font on this die cut and the little window below for you to add your sentiment.  SOOO cute!
The paper I used is from the Simon Says Stamp February card kit.  Oh, and those little enamel dots...yup my homemade ones.  They match perfect with the papers in the kit.

I'm off to go inventory all my new goodies.  This way I can stay organized when I'm in a mad dash to make a card.  Swing back by later to see what else my "wallet" purchased. ;-)

Some Odd Girl - Party Crab

Hey peeps!!  It's release day over at Some Odd Girl.  And today's digi is going to make you pull out your party stuff.  Introducing Party Crab!!  Isn't he the coolest crab on the beach.  LOL  I'm in love with his cute self.  And he paired so nicely with the Echo Park Paradise Beach paper pack I had.

Mr. Party Crab (I think I will name him Ed)  was colored with Copic markers and for a bit of fun I first colored his balloons and hat with distress markers and then added some stickles.   A-DOR-ABLE!

I know you want to see more of "Ed" so head on over to the SOG blog to see what some of the other ladies have for you today.  While you're at it, don't forget to come hang out with us at the SOG community on Facebook.

I have to be honest, I adore how this card came out.  LOL  NOT bragging or anything but isn't see too stink' cute on her bicycle with the balloons flowing in the air?  Such a fun and springy card.

I colored Kaylee up with Copic markers and used my Wink of Stella clear pen to give her bike a little bit of sparkle.  The balloons are from Simon Says Stamp.  I used a piece of white thread to attached the balloons to her bike.  Sooooo cute!  LOL

Spring has sprung

Hey peeps.  It's a fabulous day here in Georgia so I must get out and enjoy the sunshine.  But first I wanted to share a card I made for My Favorite Things color palette challenge.  Don't you just love these spring colors?  I used their Funky Floral stencil and some distress inks to create this beautiful background.  The sentiment is from the Chalkboard Greetings stamp set.  Oh and that cute little flower was made from their Gerbera Daisy die-namic.  And once more I used my homemade enamel dots.

Well have a fabulous day everyone.  Hope it's a beautiful day where you are.

Make it POP!!

Happy Friday peeps.  I had another one of those sleepless night.  Ugh...they are killin me.  But I have found that during this wee hour in the morning I get creative.  LOL  Even made a video to go along with today's card.  On one of my trip to Hobby Lobby I came across this mask from The Crafter's Workshop.  I though to myself "hum...that can make and interesting card."  So into the buggy it went and lookie, lookie!!  It make a fabulous card.  I used three colors of Adirondack ink and used my blending tool to get this graphic background.  Oh do I have sun making this card.

Next I used the Simon Says Stamp Birthday Balloons stamp set along with the matching Balloons dies.  A perfect companion for this bright background.  See that pink enamel dot?  Yup, I made that too.  I'll post next week how you can make these dots for pennies.

Gotta run as I'm going to enter the DT call over at The Crafter's Workshop.  But before you go, take some time to watch my video.  I'm sure you will love how easy this card comes together.

Dream Big

Hey peeps.  Hope everyone had a fabulous hump day.  I'm back with a card I made for this week's sketch challenge over at SCS.  I have fallen in love with this card and it may not ever make it out of my stamp room.  Does that happen to any of you?  You make a card and you automatically know you will not be sending it on?  LOL

The stamp set I used is called Dream Big by Verve stamps and the paper is from an older Stampin Up designer pack called Hawaii Papaya.

Thanks for swinging by today.  Hope to be back later for another card for inspiration.

Some Odd Girl April Release - Ladybug Tia

Hey peeps.  Welcome to my first post as a Some Odd Girl DT member.  I'm super excited to be showing you one of the new release images called Lady Bug Tia.  Isn't she soo cute?!?!

I colored her up with my Copic markers and wanted to keep her as the centerpiece of my card.  I ran a black piece of card stock through my Big shot and that was it.  I used my new Bow It All and I love the way this bow came out.  I needed to add a little something else to the card so I used polka dot brads to add to the end of her antenna.

Now on to even more exciting news.  Some Odd Girl April Linky Party is now up and running.   Plus the site has a new look.  Head on over to the party and check out all the excitement.  Don't forget to show some love to the ladies today on their amazing cards for this week's release.

A Birthday Wish

Hey peeps.  I've had a moment to get into my stamp room and create a card.  I participated in the Featured Stampers challenge over at Splitcoaststampers.  The lovely Lisa Young is being honored today.  Huge congrats to you Lisa.

For my card I used the Fair Feathers stamp set from Mama Elephant.  I am in love with this set.  All the sentiments are in a gorgeous font.  Here are three of the four feathers that come in the set as well.  Swoon...my heart be still.  I used Hero Arts Silver and Memento Luxe Rhubarb Stalk as my ink today along with Versa Fine Onyx black.

See those enamel dots?  I made them all by myself.  I saw a pin on Pinterest on how to make them using Perlr Beads.  Well I got busy and made a ton of them.  Don't think I'll need to be making any special purchases for the basic colors of enamel dots.  Happy shuffle!  ;-)

Thanks for stopping by today.  Enjoy the rest of your Sunday and I'll see ya soon!

UPDATE:  This post has been highlighted on the Party Time Tuesday Blog where a wonderful Design Team posts daily to inspire you. On Tuesdays they have weekly challenges offering prizes for participants. Go check Party Time Tuesdays Your Daily Dose out! You're going to love it!
