Technique Tuesday April Release Day

Woot woot!!!  It’ release day paper over at Technique Tuesday.  Today I’m sharing the Iris stamp set and Iris coordinating crafting die.  All products from the sneak peek and today are available over on the Technique Tuesday store.

For my card I watercolored my Iris in a gorgeous shade of pink on some watercolor paper.    I used my coordinating die to die cut it out of my card panel.  I used a stitched die to trim down this panel.  Next I lightly stenciled on a dotted background on half of the panel and stamped the sentiment on the blank side.  I placed this panel on a white card base and inlaid my die cut piece back in place.  Next I took a thin strip of pink yardstick to add a pop of color to my card.

I stamped the image again on a separate piece of watercolor paper and colored it again.  This time I cut out just the flower and bud parts so I could pop them up on my original image.

Make sure to swing by the Technique Tuesday blog to see what the other ladies have for you today.  Once you’ve been inspired head on over to the Technique Tuesday store and make your purchases. Have a great day everyone.  See ya back here soon!!

Here is what I've created with Our NEW Releases...

My first card is featuring the new Little Darling Rain or Shine stamp set.  This little girl is too sweet.  She has some adorable accessories in this set as well as some sentiments and rain drops with clouds.  I colored my image with prisma color pencils and used some wink of stella on her dress, umbrella and hair band.

For my next card I'm using the Pansies stamp set.  Be still my heart.  I LOVE these flowers. I did some no-line watercoloring with this image and made myself a flower border along the left side of my card panel.  I added some stickles to the center of the flowers and some clear gems.  I really love how beautiful this stamp set is.

Layered Camellia Flower - Altenew Build-A-Flower

Hey peeps.  I'm back in my craft room playing with the Camellia Build-A-Flower stamp set from Altenew.  All I can say is WOW.  Altenew never ceases to amaze me.  This flower is gorgeous. (At the moment it's sold out but don't worry you can add your name to an email list to get your hands on this when it comes back in stock.)

This stamp set also comes with the matching die which is fabulous.  I stamped the flower and leaves with the Altenew inks.  For the flower I used the Sea Shore mini cubes and for the leaves I used the Evergreen Fields mini cubes.  I stamped out my sentiment in versafine onyx black ink.  This card just needed a few pretty sequins and it was complete.

Here's a closeup of that gorgeous flower.   This makes such a striking card.  I'm can't wait to make more cards with this stamp set.

I'm off to edit some videos and make some pretty things.  I'll see you guys back here in a few days.  Make it a great one.  See ya soon.

Sneak Peek Day 2 - Brutus Monroe - Flower Power

Hey peeps.  Back with day 2 of the sneak peeks for the Joy Collection over at Brutus Monroe.  The next stamp set up is Flower Power.  This is truly a throw back to funky flowers and layers.  It's retro inspired for sure. Having fun and funky flowers can add a ton of versatility to your paper crafting.  This flower set allows you to layer flowers but you can use elements from the set to great your own groovy backgrounds.  You can see the set over on my Youtube channel.

Check out this background I created with using the inside layer for a flower and a tie-dyed piece of paper.  Groovy to the max!

Tomorrow I will share with you the last stamp set for the release this month.  I think this one might just blow your hats off (insert happy grin).  I'll see you all tomorrow.

Go forth and be crafty~

Altenew Mother's Day Card

Hey hey peeps.  Did you make your Mother's Day cards yet?  Well if you didn't you have about 24 hours to get it done.  LOL  I actually got my cards out in time.  Whew, that is a record.  This year I used the beautiful Peony Bouquet from Altenew.  I LOVE this stamp set.  Oh my word, I can't tell you have amazing this stamp set is.  I'm obsessed with it.  I thought I would show you guys how I put my card together.  I'm so going to play along with the Altenew video challenge as well.

First let me show you my card.

Of course after I finished the card I decided to add some wink of stella to the peony.  It makes my flower just sparkle.  Okay here is the video. You can also watch it over on YouTube.

Well peeps, that's a wrap!  Now it's time for me to go pick out a Mother's Day gift.  Yup, the hubby and kids get me a present and then I get one for myself.  That's right I'm one heck of a Mommy.  LOL  Treat yourself right this year.  Have a fabulous Mother's Day everyone.
