Xyron Creative Station Lite - Sparkly Up Your Backgrounds

Hey peeps.  I shared a Facebook video a few weeks back using the Xyron Creative Station Lite and some pretty glitter.  I love me some glitter but hate when it won't stay put on a card.  Well my solution is now the Creative Station Lite.

Xyron has made it so easy for me to make gorgeous backgrounds for my cards using all kinds of pretty glitter.  Here's a few cards I made using the Creative Station Lite to make some sparkly backgrounds for a few cards.

House Of Cards Glitter Challenge - I'm on the DT!!!

Hey everyone.  I hope you all are ready for a fantastic and fabulous year.  Mine is starting off rather well I must say.  I have a HUGE announcement to make.  I'm on the House of Cards Design Team.  Woot, woot!!!  I am so happy to be designing cards for this amazing team.  The challenges they share each month are amazing and the design team members are ubber talented.  

Here is the challenge inspiration.  You all know, I love me some glitter so this challenge started off the new year fabulously. And this color combination might just be my new fav.

Here is my first card as a HOC design team member.

I made my own glitter background by using some red line tape to make some stripes and then layered on different colors of glitter. I will say that I'm now glittered up for the evening.  LOL  The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp.  I hope you will head on over to the HOC blog and check out what the other members have for you.

Glittered Thanks

Hey peeps.  Well I couldn't sleep last night so at 1:00 am I decided to wonder down to my stamp room and make a card.  I hadn't had a chance to make one all weekend so I thought, what the hell.  So this is what I came up with.  After being so inspired by Jennifer McGuire's card seen here, I just had to give it a try.

Well, ladies and gentlemen what do you think?  Of course I'm in LOVE with all the sparkle of this card.  I even had some glittered gems that matched perfectly.  Now, my husband on the other hand might not be.  He will be waking up with at least a few hundred pieces of glitter on him by morning.  I'm sure that will be the talk of his physical therapy appointment today.  To try this technique yourself take a peek at Jennifer's video.  I think once you see how easy it is to make such a striking card, yup you will be glittered from head to toe.
