Technique Tuesday August Release

Hey peeps.  It's Technique Tuesday August Release!!  Woot woot.  This month is filled with so amazing products.  I hope you had a chance to check out the sneak peeks the team has been sharing for the last two days on the Technique Tuesday blog.  If you missed my sneak peeks you can check them out here on Sneak Peek Day 1 and Sneak Peek Day 2 blog posts. Today I have two cards for you.  One is totally a summery card but I also have a Christmas card to share with you today.

For my first card I used the wave on the border die and the Olive The Octopus stamp set and matching Olive The Octopus crafting dies. First I sponged on some mermaid lagoon and salty ocean dioxide ink on 80lb Neenah solar white card stock.  Next I used the waves on the border die and cut out multiple waves.  To create the waves I die cut the wave first and then fussy cut around the edges so I can have several waves on my card.  I then colored Olive The Octopus with my Copic markers and die cut her out with the coordinating crafting dies.  I sponged on a few sun rays with a stencil and some mustard distress inks on 80 lb solar white card stock and stamped the sentiment.  I then added on my waves with adhesive and popped Olive The Octopus between the waves. I used some foam tape the keep here in place.

My next card is filled with holiday cheer.  I used the Vintage Christmas stamp set from this release to make my card.  I watercolored my images with several Daniel Smith colors.  For the Christmas tree I added some gold stickles for the garland and glossy accent to the ornaments. I fussy cut out my images and placed them on a portrait die cut I used to create a scene.  I sponged on a sky background with distress ink and also die cut out a few trees to add the to my background.  I stamped my sentiment on a stitched hill I made with a die cut I had in my stash.

Okay peeps.  The release is now live and ready for purchase.  So head on over to the Technique Tuesday to pick up your goodies.  Please use the links below for your convenience.  I really appreciate your support of using my affiliate links.  See you guys back here soon.
