Technique Tuesday - Release Day

Hey peeps.  We made it to release day and I'm ever so excited to show you the cutest little beaver stamp set I have seen.  Meet Beau from the Beau and Beatrice Beavers stamp set and coordinating crafting dies.  This stamp set has the cutest punny sentiments in it. I colored Beau with my Copic markers and matched him to this really cool pattern paper.  BUT look at that sentiment. 😂  How stinkin' cute how it goes with this image.

Technique Tuesday Sneak Peek - Day 2

Hey peeps.  It's Technique Tuesday sneak peek day 2.  Today I'm sharing the 365 Days stamp set. This stamp set perfect for those inspirational cards for the new year.  Perfectly paired up with designer paper or place them in your planners for those daily glance inspiration.

I kept my card very clean and simple today.  I stamped out one of the sentiments from the stamp set onto black cardstock and heat embossed with white embossing powder.  It really pops against this very graphic paper.

Technique Tuesday Sneak Peek - Day 1

Hey peeps.  It's Technique Tuesday sneak peek day 1.  It's the end of the month and it's the build up to release day for Technique Tuesday.  Today I'm sharing the Joyous Juniper stamp set and coordinating crafting dies. This stamp set perfect for those last minute holiday cards.  Such an easy stamp set to color and it really makes a statement.

I stamped out the image three times and colored them with my Copic markers.  I used the coordinating die cut them out so I could overlap them on the bottom of my card.  I ink blended this beautiful background for my junipers to sit on and splattered some white gouache onto to look like snow.  I stamped the sentiment in versa mark and used black embossing powder to heat set it.

25 Days Of Christmas Tags

Hey peeps.  I'm participating in the 25 Days Of Christmas Tags this year and I'm super excited.  I have seen some amazing tags and the inspiration is overwhelming (in a good way).  WOW so many talented people in this crafty community. Today Technique Tuesday is the sponsor.

For my tag today I'm using the Technique Tuesday Hello Winter stamp set and the Sweater Weather crafting die cut.  I love the cozy feeling of this shaker tag.

I started off by cutting out the back of the tag and using the Sweater Weather crafting die to make a festive pattern on this piece.  Next I stamped the Hello Winter sentiment from the Hello Winter stamp set at the top portion of the tag.  I colored out my bomber jacket with Copic markers and used Tulip puffy paint for the fur around the hood.  I used black Nuvo drops for the buttons.  

I die cut out the top portion of my tag to create a top for the shaker elements.  I filled the tag with red, blue, silver and white sequins to keep everything within the color hue I was using.  I adhered down my top with double sided foam tape to give it some dimension.  All that was left was to add a top piece for the ribbon and twine to go through and tie all the ribbon and twine into a few bows. I adhered my bomber jacket to the shaker tag with adhesive.

Technique Tuesday November Release

Hey everyone.  It's release Technique Tuesday November release day and I'm so super excited.  If you missed day 1 or day 2 you can find them by clicking on the link. This release will totally have you ready for those holiday cards.

For today's card I'm sharing with you the adorable Dani Deer stamp set and coordinating crafty dies.  This image was so much fun to color and design with.  The sentiments and images in this stamp set can used year around. I colored this adorable little deer with my Copic markers and used the coordinating crafty dies to cut her out.  Next I pulled out some designer paper and made a cute little circle scene for her to stand next too.  This gave me the perfect place to add my sentiment on the snow drifts.

This was such a fun and easy card to put together.  You can totally mass product this style of card in no time.  I mean how darn cute is this deer?

Technique Tuesday Sneak Peek Day 2

Hey peeps.  It's Technique Tuesday sneak peek day 2.  If you missed yesterday's sneak peek day 1 you can click and see what I made.  We are just one day away from release day.  Today I'm sharing the beautiful Poinsettia stamp set. OH MY WORD I can't begin to tell you how much I loved creating this card.   This image is the perfect size to make beautiful watercolor card panels.

I started this card off by stamping the image randomly onto a piece of watercolor paper.  Next I carefully colored each image in bright pink watercolor.  I used an image I found on the internet to get the perfect color combo for this card.  I used two different watercolors on my card using the Dr. Ph Martin hydrus ink as well as my Daniel Smith watercolors.  After each flower was colored I created an ultra dark background to really make them pop.

I decided to add some white splatters using white gouache and a paint brush.  I just tapped on the end of my paint brush to make the splatters.  Just make sure if you do this is gouache is watered down well.  Then I set it aside to try.  Next I created a sentiment strip using vellum as I didn't want to stamp the sentiment directly on the card panel and wrapped it around my watercolored piece.  I adhered this to a white card base and all that was left was to add a few embellishments.

Technique Tuesday Sneak Peek Day 1

Hey peeps.  It's Technique Tuesday sneak peek day 1.  It's the end of the month and it's the build up to release day for Technique Tuesday.  Today I'm sharing the Christmas Cocoa stamp set. This stamp set perfect for those warm and cozy holiday cards.  While making this card I just had to sip on some hot chocolate.

For my card today I stamped out the the mugs from this stamp set and colored them with Copic markers.  When I color with any medium and I'm using designer paper, I always make sure to match my medium to the colors displayed in the designer paper pack.  This helps me get a very cohesive looking project.  One I colored up my images I fussy cut them out and added just a touch of glitter to my whipped cream.  Next I stamped out a sentiment and layered it with some brown card stock for a nice border.  

I created a layout with some fun holiday paper and placed it on my card base.  I popped up my little hot cocoa mugs filled coffee syrup and hot chocolate (yup it's delicious) on the panel going vertically  down my card.  I placed the sentiment next to the vertical panel and added just a few sparkly gems to finish off my card.

For my first card I colored up my owl with Copic markers and paired it with some fun paper from Doodlebug Designs.  I cut my paper on a diagonal and flipped one piece over to use the second side of the paper.  I glued on some goggly eyes onto my owl and started to build my card.  I placed the pattern paper on the left side of the card to allow myself some space for a sentiment.  I stamped the sentiment in blue ink to coordinate with the colors in my background paper.  All that was left was to pop up my adorable owl.

For my second card, I deiced to make a simple shaker card.  I again colored my image with Copic markers and used some pretty designer paper to make the card panel and shaker area.  I used vellum instead of plastic to keep the background a little bit softer and filled my shaker part with micro beads.  I cut out the sentiment three times in brown cardstock and stacked them to make them sturdy.  Next I stamped a coordinating sentiment on the yellow designer paper and put my card together.  I placed my owl off to the left of the circle leaving enough room for you to see all the shaker elements.  For this owl I used a different pair of eyes to make it even cuter.
