A Cute Little Unicorn For A Special Two Year Old

Hey peeps.  I'm really enjoying my time off from blogging and Youtube. I've been catching up on my watercoloring which was a must for me to stay creative.  I also am enjoying time with my friends.  One of my bestie's Pocono Pam had a party for her grand daughter a week or so ago and it was a unicorn themed birthday party.  I mean right up my alley.  I just adore Ariah so much and she was the cutest unicorn on her birthday.  So Titi Dana had to make a unicorn card for the birthday girl.

I first pulled out my paper which is from Doodlebug Designs and matched my Copic markers to the colors.  I stamped out this adorable unicorn from the Darcie's Heart and Home Drama Llama  stamp set.  After I had it all colored I pulled out my Phat Alphanumeric stamp set from InkOn3 and stamped out the letters of her name and colored them in ombre colors.

When everything was all colored and complete, I build up my card with a birthday stripe of paper that comes in the paper pad and layered everything onto a card panel.  I also grabbed out some baker's twine and made a triple bow for the top of the card.  There is lots and lots of shimmer on the unicorn and letters unfortunately the camera can never catch all the sparkle.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I'm still creating cards while I'm in "relax" mode so I'll be back with more inspiration soon.

Concord & 9th October Release All Season Turnabout Stamp Set

Hey peeps.  Welcome back to another Concord & 9th October Release post.  Today I'm sharing a few products with you.  First we have the All Seasons Turnabout stamp set.  I paired this along with the Notable Numbers stamps and coordinating die cut to make this card.

For my background I stamped the turnout stamp four times so create this soft background in barely beige ink on fog cardstock.  Next I stamped the happy birthday in caribbean blue on the panel using my Misti to curve my birthday stamp.  I used the Notable Numbers stamps and coordinating die cuts for the 18 which was stamped in cobblestone ink.  The "th" was stamped directly on the card panel. I layered this on light navy cardstock and added some sequin before putting it all on a white card base. I also notched my birthday panel to add interest to the corners.

For my next project I used the new 2019 calendar along with the All Seasons Turnabout to make my decorative January calendar.  I stamped the images in Simon Says Stamp Caribean Blue, Barely Beige and Cobblestone inks.  For a pop of blue I used Catherine Pooler Stone Blue ink.  I used the monthly sentiments and the matching die cut to add the month to my calendar.

You can see this calendar sitting on a cute easel.  This easel was made with the new easel die from Concord & 9th.  This die is so easy to use to create wonderful and colorful easels.  You can also use it to display cards as I have done in the photos above.

Thanks for stopping by today and don't forget to head on over to Concord & 9th to see the other beautiful projects that have for you today.

Concord & 9th October Release Notable Numbers

Happy Friday everyone.  I'm back with another guest post from Concord & 9th.  Today I'm sharing with you the Notable Numbers bundle.  This is such a beautiful stamp and die set.  I love the design of these numbers and the font used to create it.

I had to make a card with the number 29 because I have a friend who will remain 29 for the rest of her life.  ðŸ˜‚ I stamped out the numbers in Versamark ink and heat embossed them with gold rush embossing powder.  I used the coordinating die cuts to cut each letter out.  Next I stamped out the top sentiment and bottom sentiment (bottom sentiment not part of this stamp set) in Versamark ink on black cardstock and also heat embossed it in gold rush embossing powder.  I trimmed the sentiments out using my paper trimmer.

I used some gold striped washi tape and place it on the top and bottom of the a white card base.  I used foam tape to popped up the sentiments and letters and adhered them to my card.  I added just a few black sequin and my card was complete.

Make sure to head on over to the Concord & 9th blog to check out what the other guest designers have in store for you today.  Have a wonderful day everyone.

Technique Tuesday Sneak Peek Day 2

Hey peeps.  It's Technique Tuesday sneak peek day 2.  If you missed yesterday's sneak peek day 1 you can click and see what I made.  We are just one day away from release day.  Today I'm sharing the Lucsicous Grape stamp set and matching crafting dies.  The month Technique Tuesday released this amazing grapes image and I could not be more thrilled.  I'm a avid wine drinker and now I'm going to send cards to my other wine lovers using this stamp set.  And it's a fabulous stamp set for my wino friends birthdays.  ðŸ˜‚.

I pulled out my trusty Copic markers and color pencils to color up this image.  I added a lot of highlights with my colorless blending to this image as I wanted it to seem like my grapes were being kissed by the sun! I kept my card clean and simple and just sponged on some distress ink, stamped a sentiment and popped up my image in the center of the card base.  Nothing like letting your image speak for your card.

Thanks for swinging by today.  Make sure to swing by everyone's blog to see their gorgeous creations.  All products will be available for purchase October 1, 2018.  Links below will not work until then.  Thanks in advance for using my affiliate links. See you back here tomorrow for another sneak peek.

Easy Birthday Card Using Spellbinder Dies

Hey peeps.  I'm sharing a fun and easy birthday card using Spellbinders die cuts.  I LOVE using dies that help me create quick and easy birthday cards.  The Shapeabilities Happy Birthday w/ Numbers Etched Dies.  You can make shaker cards with this die as well.  Soo awesome.

I LOVE how easy this card was to make.  Some simple blending to create my background using multiple colors of distress oxide inks.  Then I die cut out the birthday sentiment a few times to make it thicker and attached them all together with multi matte medium.  I also cut out two strips of silver mirror cardstock to border my beautiful card panel.

I pulled out the numbers dies in this set and die cut out a few numbers in silver glitter paper to add to my card.  Also the addition of the little red heart.  That heart die is also in the set.

For the finishing touches I added some sparkle pen to the hearts and a few sequins.  Such a quick and easy card to make in multiple colors.

Making Waves With Border Diecuts

Hey peeps.  I've received several questions on how I made the waves on my Technique Tuesday release card.  Making waves with border diecuts are super easy when you start with a fabulous diecut.  The Waves on the Border crafting dies are one of the best ones on the market for this technique.

So let me show you first the card I made a few weeks ago.  This card also features the new Olive The Octopus stamp set and coordinating crafting dies.  I only needed a few colors of blue distress oxide inks and I was ready for my waves.

Here's a quick tutorial.  You can watch it here or over at my Youtube channel mzdanajoy.  I've used affiliate links for your convenience at no cost to you.

Hope you enjoyed the tutorial.  If you have anymore questions, please feel free to ask.  Have a great day and I'll see you back here soon.

Technique Tuesday - June Release

Hey peeps.  It's release day over at Technique Tuesday.  I'm sharing with you one of the newest Animal House addition stamps and crafty die cuts I think you are going to love.  The Duck Swan Goose stamp set and the Duck Swan Goose Crafting Dies are the perfect addition to your birthday and friendship cards this year.

For my card I kept it really fun and playful.  I stamped out the goose from the stamp set and colored him with Copic markers.  I then die cut two stitched circles and used mustard seed distress ink on the smaller one to a happy yellow color to it.  Next I stamped my sentiment off centered so it left room for my goose to nestle next to it.

I paired my goose with some fun and bright polka dot paper to complete this adorable birthday card.  This stamp set is FULL of amazing sentiments and two more adorable images...a duck and a swan.

You can piece up the entire June release TODAY in the Technique Tuesday shop.  Have a great day everyone.  See you back here soon!
