Holiday Card Series 2018 - Day 3

Hey peeps.  Happy Friday.  Today is Day 3 of my Holiday Card Series for 2018.  I'm super excited to share this card with you today as I love everything that is sparklie and embossed.  So let's see what's in store for you today.

I'm playing with some Nuvo glitter paste and Comic Shimmer Metallic Gilding Polish.  Using these two products together helps to create beautiful cards.  You can use any stencil of your liking with these products just make sure to clean your stencil off immediately after use as well as your palette knife.

I mean look at this sparkle!!  Using this stencil really allowed me to keep this card simple but achieve a dramatic look all at once.  Keeping the sentiment simple with the Scripty Xmas stamp set from Mama Elephant is the way to go with this kind of design.

Here's a quick tutorial.  You can watch it here or over at my Youtube channel mzdanajoy.  I've used affiliate links for your convenience at no cost to you.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Make sure to check out Day 1 and Day 2.  I'll see you back here soon!

Pretty Pink Posh Pumpkin Patch Critters

Hey peeps.  Happy Monday.  I have a tutorial for you today featuring the Pretty Pink Posh Pumpkin Patch Critters.  These little critters are so precious.  I'm also using Copic markers in the tutorial.  I don't do a lot of coloring videos so this is a treat for me.  I really love coloring however I always get nervous to film the process.  I don't know why.  It's the crazies thing.  I'm going to try and do it more often to share the process with all of you.

For the background I used the Simon Says Stamp Mod Stripe stencil.  OMG I LOVE this stencil.  It makes perfect backgrounds and I LOVE the mod feel of it!  I'll be using this on a bunch of cards as it's never leaving my desk. 😂

For my Copic colors and ink colors I used the following:

Copic Markers
Pumpkin: Y17, YR07, YR18, E25, E27
Fox: YR27, E19, E37, E00, E000
Squirrel: W1, W3, W5, W7
Bunny: E0000, E000, E00
Cheeks on all critters R20
Inner Ears E95

Inks
Gina K Designs
Tomato Soup, Sweet Corn and Sweet Mango

Here's the tutorial.  You can watch it here or over at my Youtube channel mzdanajoy. I've used affiliate links for your convenience at no cost to you.

Geometric Stars By My Favorite Things

Hey peeps.  Happy Monday.  I'm back with a quick card and tutorial using the Geometric Stars stencil by My Favorite Things.  This stencil is part of their June release and I'm so excited to have it in my little hands.  I'm pairing this stencil with the Martini Time stamp set as well from My Favorite Things.

I used peacock feathers and cracked pistachio distress oxide inks today to make my card.  I love the blue green color combo.  I'm going to be making more cards with this stencil so I'll be looking forward to using pinks and purples and also some gray color combos as well.

For the martini glass I heat embossed the image with InkOn3 juicy ink and Rangers Princess Gold embossing power.  LOVE this retro martini glasses.  You get a great variety of glasses in this stamp set as well.

3-Ways To Use Catherine Pooler Inks With A Stencil

Hey peeps.  Thanks for all the comments last week on my Catherine Pooler post for her blog hop.  As I mentioned on those post I am in LOVE with her ink collections. So today I'm going to share a tutorial on 3 ways to use Catherine Pooler inks with a stencil.  It's super easy to get more use out of inks.  Also you can get a great mix of hues out of one ink pad.

Here are three cards made with the something borrowed ink pad.  Stretch those ink colors by mixing the ink directly into different mediums. I used the Folk Dance stencil and the Yay stamp set for my from Simon Says Stamp for this technique.  I also used the Catherine Pooler Tiara ink to stamp out the sentiment and to ink up a piece of bristol paper to add a nice contrasting strip of paper on my card panel.

For the first card I stenciled on the ink like I normally would.

For this card I mixed the ink with whipped spackle.

For this card I mixed the ink in with translucent embossing paste.

Here's a quick tutorial.  You can watch it here or over at my Youtube channel mzdanajoy.  I've used affiliate links for your convenience at no cost to you.

Thanks for watching.  Let me know if you would like to see more videos like this by commenting below.  Have a great day everyone.

Catherine Pooler Zen Garden Blog Hop - Day

Hey peeps.  Happy Friday.  It's the last day of the blog hop for the Zen Garden release over at Catherine Pooler Designs.  What a release this has been.  I loved seeing all the cards the design team has made and all the new products that have been released.  Let me share with you a few more projects using the new release.

My first two cards I'm using the Chevron Split stencil and the newly released inks that I LOVE LOVE LOVE!!  The feathers and sentiments are from the Zen Feather stamp set.

This card I'm using the Stained Glass Cover Plate.  Isn't this cover plate gorgeous?  I lighted embossed it into my card panel and then cut out another piece in white to pop it up in the center of my card.

Baby It's Cold Outside - Tutorial

Oh baby it's cold outside!!  Even here in Florida its dropped into the 30's. There are even parts of Florida that got SNOW!!  Yikes that's like crazy.  So with all this winter weather I decided to make a winter themed card.

To create this card I used a really pretty snow flurries stencil from The Crafter's Workshop and some pretty snow glitter embossing paste from Aleene's.  I kept the card really clean and simple and used just a simple sentiment and a few sparkly gems.

Here's a quick tutorial on how this card came together.  You can watch it here or on my Youtube channel mzdanajoy.  I've link all the products I used for the card below using affiliate links at no cost to you.

Have a great weekend everyone.  Stay WARM and SAFE.  See you back here soon.

Double Stenciling With Distress Oxide Inks TUTORIAL

Hey peeps.  Happy hump day!  I'm back sharing a quick tutorial using some of the new distress oxide inks.  Oh be still my heart I love these colors so much. I tried a little bit of a different technique and did some double stenciling today.  Just make sure you use two stencils and one pattern must be smaller than the other.

You can use any two color you like however one must be darker than the other.  Let me show you what I mean in the tutorial. You can also check out other backgrounds I've made for cards HERE.

So grab yourself a cup of your favorite beverage and relax.  You can watch the video here or over at my Youtube channel mzdanajoy.  I've linked the products below for easy shopping.

That's a wrap for today everyone.  Have a great day and I'll see you back here soon.
