3-Ways To Use Catherine Pooler Inks With A Stencil

Hey peeps.  Thanks for all the comments last week on my Catherine Pooler post for her blog hop.  As I mentioned on those post I am in LOVE with her ink collections. So today I'm going to share a tutorial on 3 ways to use Catherine Pooler inks with a stencil.  It's super easy to get more use out of inks.  Also you can get a great mix of hues out of one ink pad.

Here are three cards made with the something borrowed ink pad.  Stretch those ink colors by mixing the ink directly into different mediums. I used the Folk Dance stencil and the Yay stamp set for my from Simon Says Stamp for this technique.  I also used the Catherine Pooler Tiara ink to stamp out the sentiment and to ink up a piece of bristol paper to add a nice contrasting strip of paper on my card panel.

For the first card I stenciled on the ink like I normally would.

For this card I mixed the ink with whipped spackle.

For this card I mixed the ink in with translucent embossing paste.

Here's a quick tutorial.  You can watch it here or over at my Youtube channel mzdanajoy.  I've used affiliate links for your convenience at no cost to you.

Thanks for watching.  Let me know if you would like to see more videos like this by commenting below.  Have a great day everyone.

Catherine Pooler Zen Garden Blog Hop - Day

Hey peeps.  Happy Friday.  It's the last day of the blog hop for the Zen Garden release over at Catherine Pooler Designs.  What a release this has been.  I loved seeing all the cards the design team has made and all the new products that have been released.  Let me share with you a few more projects using the new release.

My first two cards I'm using the Chevron Split stencil and the newly released inks that I LOVE LOVE LOVE!!  The feathers and sentiments are from the Zen Feather stamp set.

This card I'm using the Stained Glass Cover Plate.  Isn't this cover plate gorgeous?  I lighted embossed it into my card panel and then cut out another piece in white to pop it up in the center of my card.

Here's a quick tutorial.  You can watch it here or over at my Youtube channel mzdanajoy.  I've used affiliate links for your convenience at no cost to you.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a wonderful weekend and I'll see you back here next week!!

Hello World Blog Hop

Hey peeps.  I am so happy to be joining in with everyone for this incredible Hello World blog hop. This hop will surely benefit some amazing young kids to have the resources they need to be all they can be.  Let me give you some information for the hop.

The fundraiser will kick off on Saturday morning, October 1 at 9 am eastern with our blog hop and go through Friday, 11:59 pm eastern. All profits from the sale of the Hello World stamp set and dies during this time will be donated to purchase the computers for Jennifer Ingle’s husband’s class.  You can donate directly also by visiting their link HERE

We are beside ourselves excited to raise money to purchase computers for these kids...how can you become a contributing member of society these days if you don’t know how to use a computer?

All designers were sent a goodie pack of stamps on Friday.  On October 1, we will be releasing the following products in Catherine's store.

All items from the Lovely Notes Collection including:
Butterfly Notes Stamp Set
Wonderful Wreath Stamp Set
Fill-In-The-Blank Birthday Stamp Set
Lovely Lattice Background Stamp Set
Lovely Flowers Stamp Set
Lovely Flowers and Banner Dies
Concentric Circles Dies (Neat and Tangled)
Handpainted Thanks (Neat and Tangled)

Here is my card I made using the Hello World, Yay Stripes and Lovely Flowers stamp sets. I kept my card very simple with a hint of wild.  LOL  I used the YAY stripes to foil on some leopard print foil on a strip of white card stock.  Next I stamped a few gold dotted lines between one set of the stripes.  Using the smaller of the hellos from the Hello World stamp set I stamped the hello in black and stamped a few gold dots below the sentiment on a white card panel.  Of course you know I had to add a few sequins.  All that was left was to mat it on a black piece of cardstock and put everything on a white card base.

Now it's your turn to hop around and find some amazing inspiration. We hope you will help us reach our goal of $5,600 for these young children.

THANK YOU for making a difference for these kids!!!
