Hey everyone. I'm so super happy to be a part of the Technique Tuesday and My Sweet Petunia blog hop. There are so many great participants along this hop and you are in for such a treat!!
I used this gorgeous tiger lily flower from my Mother's Day arrangement for my inspiration today. I pulled out my Technique Tuesday Lily Wishes stamp set as my image piece today. I placed my Bristol paper into my original Misti making sure my card stock was tucked nicely in the corner of my Misti. After a everything was lined up correctly I stamped my lily with black ink. I left my image on my Misti lid at this point as I will need it again later.
I colored my image with Copic markers and added some highlights with a white pencil and white gelly roll pen. I after I finished coloring my image, I placed it back into my Misti and re-stamped the image again in black into to redefine my lines. I love doing this to keep my lines nice and crisp after I have colored my entire image. It truly makes your image pop once your coloring is complete.
I die cut out my image using the matching Lily Wishes coordinating crafting dies. I die cut out a stitched banner for my beautiful flower to had a place to sit and used a stencil to add some texture to the background. I used the same stencil to add some texture to a piece of green card stock to ground the entire piece on a white card base.
For the sentiment I decided stamp it in versa mark ink and heat emboss it in white embossing powder so I stood out. The lily and the sentiment are popped up on foam dots.
Here's the list of participants. Make sure to leave a comment on EACH blog for a chance to win. We will choose two lucky commenters from the hop to win one of two prizes: a $50 shopping spree at www.mysweetpetunia.com and a $50 shopping spree at www.techniquetuesday.com.
