Birthday Wishes

Hi everyone.  Here is a quick card I made today for the SCS Ways to Use It Challenge.  We were to create a birthday card.  This is the first time I have inked up this cute little stamp.  I colored the image with my Copic markers and added a little bit of bling with my glitter glue and dazzling diamonds.  Let's see what you can create today.

Have a wonderful day everyone.

SC273 Challenge

Happy Wednesday everyone.  I was able to squeeze in a card today for SCS sketch challenge.  This was super easy for me as I already had the paper circle cut out with my background paper.  It was in my scrap bin so I pulled it out for today's card.  The flower is from Inkadinkado's clear stamp set called Beauty Stems from Here.  This was my first time using it and I must say I think I'm in love. LOL  I colored my image with Copic markers RV10, V01,V12 and YR03.  I didn't have the right shade of green so I mixed in a little bit of Sage Shadow with my green.  The sentiment is from Stampabilities.  Well, I hope you like my little creation today.  Please make sure you come back to see what other exciting things may be going on. I would love any comments you may have and I appreciate the feedback.  Take care and see you soon.

Happy Birthday Twin

Hi everyone.  I'm pretty late on posting a card today.  I have been driving back from Florida for doctor appointment and it's my birthday.  I'm 29 all over again. LOL  Here is a card I made for my twin sister DeDe.  We are late on getting our cards out to eachother.  It's usually me who's late. Yikes!! Never the less, we texted eachother a million times today.  I just love being a twin.

Anyway, my sister's favorite flower is a sunflower so this stamp set that I just picked up last Friday from Heartfelt Creations was perfect for her card.  I stamped the images a few times, colored them with the following Copic markers Y17, Y19, Y21, E29 and E37 and cut them out.  I added some glue to the center of the flowers and piled on my microbeads.  Man, did I have beads every where. LOL  I waited for the flowers to dry and put them on pop dots.  I added the little leaves from my daisy Nestabilities set.  The paper came from my scrap bin.  The sentiment is from PaperTrey I think.  I can't remember exactly.

Here's a closeup of the center of the flower.  I think this looks close to the real thing. :-)    This card took me a while to make but I think I love how it turned out.  Happy birthday my dear twin.  Love you to pieces.

Take care everyone and I hope to see you soon.

SC271

Happy hump day everyone.  I'm up in the wee hours of the morning because I can't sleep so I decided to get a jump start on my day and do the SCS challenges.  I'm combining two challenges.  The color challenge for Tuesday was to use the colors Certainly Celery, Bashful Blue and Melon Mambo.  The layout for this card is for today's sketch challenge.  Out of all the challenges over at SCS I always like the color challenges and the sketch challenges the best.  Makes me have to think outside the box.  I used my SU Best Blossom stampset for my card. I always find my way back to this set when I need a quick card.  The little thanks sentiment is from Rubber Soul.  Well, I hope you like my little card for today.  I think I need to see if I can catch me some more zzzz's.  Take care everyone and hope to see you back soon.

First time with Black Magic with a White Twist

Welcome back.  I'm so glad you stopped by today.  I just had to show you this card I made using the Black Magic technique for the first time.  I saw it on Karen Barber's blog and fell in love. I think this is one of my favorite techniques.  Thank you so much Karen for the tutorial and inspiration.  This technique is super easy to do and makes such a stunning card.  I see myself searching all my stamps now to see which ones I can use this technique with.

For the colors I used my Koh-i-noor pencils 8750/14, 8750/10 (flowers), 8750/19, 8750/4 (leaves) and 8750/3 (white).  I used Chocolate Chip SU paper and some Brazill scrap pieces I had.  I used my Basic Grey Sultry paper collection for the background on a piece of CC SU paper.  You can use some many different color combines for your cards.  Well, I'm off to make another one.  I'm hooked!! LOL  Take care everyone and hope to see you back soon.

I'm back!!!

Hello everyone.  I'm back to blogging land and I hope for good this time.  My third surgery went well and by the grace of God I'm still here. :-)  I finally had a chance to participate in the SCS challenge today.  I'm so happy for Vera. She has an awesome gallery and I spent so much time trying to figure out what great card of her's I wanted to case today.  I finally picked this one.  Congrats again Vera.

I used my new Diamond Tulips stamp from Northwoods Rubber Stamps, Inc.  I had such a great time watercoloring this image with Riding Hood Red and Kiwi Kiss SU ink.  I then used the same paper to add the border to the tulips and as the background color.  I drew the lines with my ScorPal and added the matching eyelets.  I think this stamp is going to be a favorite of mine.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope to see you back soon.

Hugs~
