Technique Tuesday March Release Day

Hey peeps. Today is the day!!!  All the new products are up and available on the Technique Tuesday store.  I'm super excited for you to get your hands on the new releases. They are just incredible.

I'm sharing another card made with the Sassy Love Your Guts stamp set and the matching Sassy Love Your Guts dies.  Chocolate is a staple in the Joy household.  It has it's place right next to the coffee, donuts and sprinkles.  LOL. Yes my food categories.

For this card I drew a giant candy bar that looked like the smaller ones that come in the stamp set and colored it with my Copic markers.  I added just a little bit of "foil accents" on this one so it looked like I had peeled back the packaging.  Next I stamped on the sentiment.

I colored up a few other mini candy bars because I mean you can't have too much chocolate.  All these candy bars needed was a cute little background to be popped up on.

Head on over to the blog to check out what the other ladies have for you today.  Once you're finished make sure to grab your wallet and swing by the store and pick up the new release products.  Have a great day everyone.

Let's Taco About....

Hey peeps. Have you ever come across a stamp set that just makes you giggle?  Well this one has done it for me.  You see my daughter LOVES tacos so when I saw the Tasty Truck set from Stampin Up (it's a retired set now :-( ) I had to buy it.  I had the little truck spilling out tacos for her.  I know she'll think that is just hilarious.

I colored up my image with Copic markers and added some nuvo crystal drops.  Since I've been on a clean and simple roll with my cards, I left a lot of white space on this card.  I paired it with some fun polka dot and striped paper which matched the colors I used on my truck.

Here's a closeup of this adorable little truck.  You can't tell from the photo but I place some glossy accents on the windows and the rims of the tires.  Now looking at the card the drops look like ketchup, mustard and relish.  LOL  I must be hunger now.  I'm starting to mix up my food categories.

Have a great day everyone.  I'll see you back here soon!

Simon Says Stamp Mix It Up - Tutorial

Hey peeps.  I'm back today with another tutorial.  Have you ever looked at a stamp set and thought umm, that looks like something else?  Well it happened to me with the Artsy Flower Parts stamp set from Simon Says Stamp.  I looked at one of the flowers and said "that looks like a watermelon".  So I went with it and made me a card.  LOL

I paired the Artsy Flower Parts and the Funny Food stamp sets to create a really cute clean and simple card.  With just a little bit of stamping, Copic coloring and a few embellishments I ended up with a quick and easy card that you can totally CASE!  Let's take a peek at the card shall we?

I left a LOT of white space on this card to allow this adorable little watermelon slice to make his debut.  Isn't he just too cute?  This card came together rather quickly and I hope you enjoy the tutorial I have for you.

Let's roll the tutorial.  Remember to think outside the box when using your stamps. Get creative and have fun.  I promise there are no stamp police coming to get you. ;-)  You can watch the video right here on my blog or on my Youtube channel mzdanajoy.

Have a great day everyone.  See you back here soon!

Hero Arts - Grow Your Garden - Tutorial

Hey peeps.  Happy Monday.  Back in the stamp studio after a great week with my twin sister.  Thank you everyone for the great birthday wishes.  Today I have a quick card and a tutorial for you.  I'm still playing with the Hero Arts March kit.  This month's kit came with two stamp sets and a massive amount of die cuts.  I'm so excited to be playing with it all.

For my card I did some quick and easy stamping.  I made a background for my card panel using the largest carrot in the stamp set and quickly watercolored it with my Mission Gold watercolor paints. The colors I used where permanent yellow deep, yellow orange and sap green.

I used the My Favorite Things doubled stitched rectangles to cut out a rectangle in the center of my panel for some added interest. Popping up that panel really makes the sentiment stand out. I die cut out three smaller carrots for some embellishments.  And this card is done.

You can see how this card came together by watching my tutorial on my Youtube channel or right here on my blog.  So are you growing a garden?  If so what are you growing?

Have a great day everyone.  See you back here soon.
