Valentine's Day Card Series - Day 4 Tutorial

Hey peeps.  We are in the home stretch of this years Valentine's Day Card Series.  For today's card we are doing to do a little bit of watercoloring.  Watercoloring is a happy place for me even when I'm not making cards.  It's just a freeing process that I truly enjoy.

I'm using an adorable stamp set from Avery Elle called Love Is In the Air.  I like this stamp set as it has solid images that make it super easy to make cards without a lot of fuss.  If you can get your hands on this one I highly recommend it.

Here's a quick tutorial.  You can watch it here or over at my Youtube channel mzdanajoy.  I've used affiliate links for your convenience at no cost to you.

Thanks for hanging out with me today.  See you back here on Friday for another our final card in the Valentine's Day card series.

Breaking out Holiday Spirits on My Card

Hey peeps. I'm back today to share with you my Christmas card I made for my hubby.  This year we breaking out the adult beverages and I'm singing Christmas songs to the top of my lungs while we are wrapping up that last of the Christmas presents. So I thought it was fitting to make my hubby a beverage Christmas card.  I LOVE this stamp set from Avery Elle called exactly Holiday Spirits. How fitting right!?!?

I customized the labels on two of the bottles to match our beverages of choice for this year.  I'm a HUGE champagne and eggnog holiday girl and my hubby loves a great cognac. I grabbed a few Copic markers and colored up my bottles.  For the champagne bottle I used a gold Spectrum Noir glitter pen to add the sparkly foil look at the top of the bottle.  Really wish I could of caught the simmer better on camera. I die cut out the images and will popped them up on the card.

To keep the card really simple I just sponged on a really cool background using some distress oxide inks and splattered on some white ink to make it look like snow.  I heat embossed the sentiment and for some added interest I ran the card panel through my big shot with the MFT wonky rectangle die.

I'm going to enter this card in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge.  This week's challenge is party time so this card is going to work perfectly.  It's going to be a part in the Joy household once we get to drinking and laughing.  LOL  Have an awesome day everyone.  See ya back here soon!

For The Love of Unicorns

Hey hey peeps.  Happy hump day.  Oh how I love adorable unicorns. They are just magical to me.  I want to be one in my next life. LOL  So I paired an adorable unicorn from Avery Elle with some super cool background paper I made last week.  If you want to see my video on how to marble paper you can check it out HERE.  Shall we take a peek at my card?

Now you know I love me a good shaker card.  This unicorn needed to be on a shaker in my head. LOL  I love the colors of this background paper I just had to color the unicorn in purple and teal.  I had some sequin on hand that worked perfectly.  If you have seen any of my scopes you know I'm a HUGE sequin chick.  If it sparkles, I need it.

Okay that wraps up the card for today.  I'm entering my card into the Inky Chicks and Retarte 76 challenges.  I'll see you guys back here real soon.  Working on my new stamp sets and ink line through Brutus Monroe.  I can't wait to show you the Joy collection.

Go forth and be crafty

Golden LOVE

So I'm still making cards.  How does that happen?  LOL  Just when I thought I would go relax for the rest of the evening I see a challenge going on over on the AEIHeartU challenge blog.  Well, I just had to join in.

I used the Avery Elle Rounded Diamonds stamp and die set for this card.  I love the way it came out.  I used some chevron vellum I had peeking out from my stash to set me diamonds on.  The sentiment was die cut six times in white and once in gold.

Here's a closeup of the card.  I popped the love up with some pop up dots so it stood off the card a bit.  Swoon...I really like this card.

Okay, now I really am going to relax for the rest of the evening.  That's going to mean I have to disconnect or I'll be making another card. ;-)

Hugs and love~
