2017 Holiday Card Series - Day 6 Make A Splash With Color

Hey everyone.  Today wraps up the 2017 Holiday Card Series.  I really hope you have enjoyed the tutorials this year.  I thought today we would end the series off with a splash of color and a bit of gold.  Even though the series is over, I'm far from done with my holiday cards. At this time of year, I just can't seem to stop making pretty holiday cards.  I don't send out many since we do New Year photo cards however I love this time of year and making holiday cards just comes naturally for me.

For the last card I pulled out some Brusho and a beautiful background stamp from Simon Says Stamp called Kaleidoscope.  This pair works fabulously together.  For the sentiment I used a sentiment from the Stained Glass Greetings also from Simon Says Stamp.

You can watch the tutorial here on my blog or over on my Youtube channel mzdanajoy.  I've listed all the products below for your shopping convenience. I have used affiliate links however there is no cost to you.

Have a great day everyone.  See ya back here soon!!!

2017 Holiday Card Series Day 5 - Christmas Joy

Hey everyone.  It's Day 5 and we are sharing some Christmas Joy.  Now we all know there was no way I could not make a card in this series without the word joy in it.  LOL  You may just see the word joy again.  I can't help it I married a very "joy-ful" man.

Today's card we are spreading Christmas joy by making a pretty background and raising some JOY on our card.  I used the Layering Jolly stamp set from Hero Arts and the joy die from Concord and 9th.  This makes such a beautiful card.

2017 Holiday Card Series - Day 4 Pinecones With Style

Hey everyone.  Happy Monday.  It's Day 4 and I have an awesome die to share with you today.  If you need to quickly make some holiday cards this is one die you need to have on hand.

The large pinecone die from Avery Elle has really helped me whip out my Christmas cards with year.  Not only is this die beautiful it's one that I have never seen before.  It make a beautiful impression in the cardstock instead of cutting all the way through and just cuts the cutest bow that pops up on your card panel.

2017 Holiday Card Series - Day 3 Snowflakes Worth Shaking

Hey everyone.  It's day 3 of the 2017 Holiday Card Series.  I hope you have been enjoying the cards so far.  To start at day you click here.  I thought it was time to shake things up a bit with some pretty snowflakes, sequins and tulle.

For the card today I used a very soft color palette for my snowflake shaker card. This shaker card was made using a beautiful die from Memory Box called Snowflake Lens.  I'm a sucker for a great snowflake die of any kind.  This one is even better when I can turn it into a shaker card.

Using tulle instead of acetate really made my shaker card feel soft and light.  I've really love using the tulle now on my shaker.  Here's another video where I used it to make another shaker card.

Okay everyone.  That's a wrap for today.  Make sure to stop by here tomorrow as I have a special post with a giveaway.  See ya soon!

2017 Holiday Card Series - Day 2 Blending Distress Oxide Inks And Nature

Hey everyone.  I hope you're having an amazing day.  Are you ready for day two of the holiday card series?  If you missed day one, you can check it out here.  So let's see what I have in store for you today.

This year I really needed some masculine cards to add to my holiday stash.  I decided to pull out some cool tone nature shade distress oxide inks and a cool die from Technique Tuesdays and have a little bit of watercoloring fun.  Now this card is really one of my favorite of this year.  I love the way these tress turned out.  I'm really addicted to this gorgeous way of mixing the colors together to achieve such an amazing color blend with the distress oxide inks.  I used the Halftone Holidays stamp from Altenew with some beautiful shades of green ink from Altenew as well.

Look at those lovely shades of blue, green, olive and brown.  If you don't have the distress oxide inks yet, oh you MUST add them to your stash.

Okay everyone that wraps up day 2.  See you back here on Friday for day 3.  Have a great day!

2017 Holiday Card Series - Day 1 Wishing On A Star

Hey everyone.  I'm so super excited to announce the 2017 Holiday Card series!!!  Woot woot!!!  I thrilled to be able to share this series again with you this year.  I have so much awesomeness to get into this year.  I have to say that this series almost didn't happen.  Needed to make some space on my Ipad I mistakenly deleted videos I had already made thinking they were older videos.  Once I realized this error all I could do was curl up in a fetal position and cry. Once that pity party was over, I pulled up my big girl panties and got back to work because that's what you do!!  I refused to just cave in and not make the series.

So let's get started!!  Sit back and relax with your favorite beverage and let the Christmas magic begin. This card is featuring the stars and holiday wishes.  I used the Altenew Halftone Stars and the Holiday Script Words dies.  This card is a little different from the one in the video.  I had sent the card out in the mail before I had taken a photo of it for this video so the sequins are not on this card.  I also decided to add some glossy accents to the sentiment.

Keeping this card clean and simple with light colors really works for Florida living.  Plus it's a bonus for me as this is one of my favorite color combinations.  I also like to use non traditional color combos for holiday cards.

You can watch the tutorial here on my blog or over on my Youtube channel mzdanajoy.  I've listed all the products below for your shopping convenience. I have used affiliate links however there is no cost to you.

Have a great day everyone.  Leave me a comment letting me know your favorite holiday tradition.  I'll see you back here soon!
