Is it Monday already?  Boy my weekend was jammed packed with great friends and I hate to know that I'm up this morning and they are all gone.  But before they could get away I made a card for a new friend of mine with this week's Repeat Impressions Stamp of the Week.  The stamp today is called Vase of Tulips 13-17L. Of course, she will giggling like a school girl when she opened the card.  This stamp makes such a beautiful focal point.  She just thinks I'm the coolest "new" friend. LOL

For all my blog readers, you can get the Stamp of the Week at a 50% discount from May 23 - May 30th.  You must stop by The House That Stamps Built to pick up your discount code.  Wendy will be waiting to take your orders at Repeat Impressions. :-)  And the other DT members (Ayana, Darsie, Joy, Lynette, Harriet Makiko and Michele) have done a fabulous job creating something special too.  Let me see what beautiful things you can make with this stamp.

Well, I'm off to work.  Have to pay for my addiction to stamping somehow don't I?  :-)  Have a wonderful Monday everyone.

What If? Wednesday Sketch Challenge M1910

It's a What If? Wednesday Sketch Challenge y'all!!  Happy Wednesday everyone.  I'm in such a great mood today.  It's hump day and I'm loving it.  It's also my son's 15th birthday.  Happy birthday Kier!!  I just love my kids to pieces. :-)

If honor of my son who is now past halfway to manhood, I thought I would make a card remembering when he was first welcomed into this world.  Oh, I think I'm going to cry. Those where the days. He only wanted to sleep, eat and have his diaper changed.  Now he wants the keys to the car, pocket money and a laptop.  Yikes....take me back to diaper days!!  I'm using my Repeat Impressions Welcome Little One sentiment from the P8600 unmounted verse sheet on this cute little sketch.  You are going to LOVE this sheet of sentiments.  There is something for all occasions.

The supplies I used for this card were the DCWV Nana's Kids paper pack, Bazzill orange, SU Kiwi Kiss and SU Barely Banana cardstock. I stamped the sentiment in Kiwi Kiss.  And can you believe it....I didn't have to color a thing.  Sweet!!  I used my white gel pen to add some dots and Colorbok white self-adhesive metal dots.

We want to see what you can do with this sketch. To play along, upload your card to your blog or gallery, then link it to the "add a link" button over at The House That Stamps Built blog under today's sketch post. Remember you have until June 1st to link up your card.  You will be entered to win a $25 Repeat Impressions Gift Certificate! Woo....hoooo!!!!  While you're there check out what the other DT members created using this sketch.

Gotta run, I have some birthday celebrating to do.  Hugs to you all.

Time for another Stamp of the Week from Repeat Impressions!! Happy Monday everyone.  I hope all of you had a wonderful weekend.  Mine went by too quick!!  I blinked my eyes and it was over. :-(  Anyway, I did have time to stamp out a card for you.  Today's Stamp of the Week is called Life, Laugh, Love (3108-J) (scroll down the page a little to see the stamp). This sentiment inspires me.  That's how I want to live my life daily....with some laughs and plenty of love. :-)

I stamped the sentiment with white Stazon and embossed it with white embossing powder.  The paper came from.....THE SCRAP BIN!  So many papers, so many creations. LOL  I used my Martha Stewart border punch to add the scalloped edge.  I had some felt flowers that I had been hoarding forever along with some gems brads so I added them to this card.  Added the black ribbon to match the black I stamped my sentiment on.   I can see me using this stamp over and over again.

Don't forget you can get this stamp for 50% OFF THIS WEEK ONLY.  Make sure to head over to The House That Stamps Built blog first and pick up your discount code.  This special is only available to our blog readers.  You will not get the discount on the Repeat Impressions website without the code.  The Rock Stars are at it again.  Here's what creations they came up with this week:

Take care and see you back here Wednesday for the What If Wednesday Challenge.

Live for the Moment

Hey friends and welcome back to my blog.  Today I'm featuring two more wonderful images from Repeat Impressions the Mussel Clam (4107-G) and Live for (3104-F).  I needed to do a more masculine card for a dear friend of mine and this was perfect for him.  He lives down in FL and he's always on the beach with his grandson.  This also fits two of the challenges over at SCS (WT270 and SC280) and the Tree House Stamps Challenge (THT049).  I just love the weekly challenges.

The paper I used for this sketch of course came from my scrap bin but also from my Basic Grey Archaic pack.  This is a must have paper pack.  I love the muted colors. And can you believe it....no Copic Markers.  Shame on me!!  I stamped the image with Brown Stazon and outlined the card with my white gen pen.

Well friends, I'm off to cook dinner for the family.  Take care and see ya back here soon.

So Blessed

Hi everyone. I hope you had the time to stop by my blog earlier this week to see all the cards that I have posted for the Repeat Impressions DT. I'm just getting home from a week of medical appointments in FL. And I can say I'm overjoyed with the great results from my latest round of tests. Many of you may not know but I have had a really rough go of it since the beginning of last year. I was diagnosed with cancer last March and required a surgery in May to have it removed. I had to have emergency surgery 4 months to the day of my first surgery due to an obstruction and to make matters a little more interesting I just had my third surgery in February due to complications from the second surgery.  But who has time to sit and worry?  Not me....I have stamping to do.  :-)

I feel totally blessed by all the support and love that I have received from family and friends.  You never know how strong you are until it seems like your life has been turned upside down.  That's when you put on your big girl panties and deal with it.  It helps too if your wearing a cute bra to go along with those panties.  LOL  When you are faced with adversity, just stop, focus on the issue and take it head on.  Then, you let the good Lord handle the rest.  What's that saying.....too blessed to be stressed.

Hope you all had a wonderful week and come back to see me soon.

Hugs~

Repeat Impression Sketch Challenge M510

Hey everybody.  Are you up for a challenge? A sketch challenge that is.  I know I am.  Today I'm featuring this week's sketch challenge from Repeat Impression.  I fell in love with this sketch as it's was super easy to do and it really made my Jump For Joy (2610-J) image really stand out as the focal point.  You can purchase this little fella over at Repeat Impressions. I think he's the happiest little guy around.  Don't forget to browse through the website as Wendy has some really amazing stamps and other items for purchase. For this card I used my Green Stack paper pack and once again some brown Bazzill scrap paper from my bin. :-)  The Chocolate Chip ribbon is from Stampin' Up.  I used red brads for my corners and punch out from my scrap paper the little "brads" for my ribbon. I shaded around my rabbit with So Saffron ink from SU.  I popped my image up on pop dots to add dimension.

I actually had time to show you one more with the Birdhouse 4317-E stamp (click on the link and scroll down the page a little to see the image).  I just love coloring this birdhouse.  I've stamped it off a few times already and I'm going coloring crazy.  So many color combinations with such a cute birdhouse. I colored my image with my Copic Markers and mounted it on some paper from the Green Stack 70% Recycled paper pack.  Super cute and super easy.

Here's the layout for the sketch for you to created something fabulous.  Don't forget to hop on over to Repeat Impression and pick your little fella up today.  Don't forget to stop by Wendy's blog The House That Stamps Built and check out what the other design team members are showcasing today.

Have a super duper day and see ya back here real soon.

Come get your Wild Violets

Welcome back friends.  I'm showcasing another wonderful image from Repeat Impressions called Wild Violets (1706).  Okay, I know some of you must be thinking that my violets should be purple but I'm an outside the box kind of chick. LOL  I see violets in all colors.  First, let me say I tried something new with my background.  I had purchased these Ultra Color Wash Jewels about two years ago and never used them. Duh, don't know why now.  Anyway, I sprayed the Fire Opal, and Garnet wash on glossy cardstock and blotted with a tissue to get this background.  I was able to achieve the blend of the two colors with just a few squirts.  Love this technique and it's super quick.  I colored in my "violets" with Copic markers RV25, YR65, and YG03.   I went back over my wild violets with lime green and fruit punch Stickles.  The images were cut out using my Nestabilities.  I had striped ribbon in my ribbon drawer and it matched the colors perfectly.

Okay, here we go blog readers....get your Wild Violets for 50% OFF THIS WEEK ONLY!!  That's right everyone 50% OFF.  Don't you just love this offer?  Make sure to stop by RI blog were you will find link to the page featuring the SOTW and to collect the SOTW discount code. Here are the cards from the other DT members:
