Sweet Peek Day 3 - SugarPea Designs

Hi Friends!   Welcome to Day 3 of our 2017 February Product Release!

Today's card is featuring the Stay Strong stamp set and matching sugarcuts with the Starburst cover plate.  Isn't this guy too cute?  He's colored up with Copic markers.  For the cover plate I cut from black cardstock and spritzed it with gold metallic paint.  I layered red cardstock behind it and stamped on a cute sentiment with versamark then heat set it with white embossing powder.

Here are just some of the products being released this week.  Everything goes live FRIDAY NIGHT 6:00PM EST.

Would you like to win the Stay Strong stamp set? All you need to do is leave a comment on this post telling us about someone who helps keep you strong! We can't wait to hear!
All winners during our Winter 2017 Product Release will be announced next Monday, February 20th! So you have all week to comment!

Cards for Guys Video Collaboration

Hey hey peeps.  I feel like I haven't written a post in some time.  I have been very busy lately and again not feeling well.  Trying to push myself has taken it's toll but I've been through worse and I know this too shall pass.

On a fabulous note, I have join up with 26 (YES 26) fantastic YouTubers for a video collaboration to share some guy card inspiration.  I know I struggle to make male themed cards so I was so excited when I was asked if I wanted to join in on the fun.  There are 26 videos for you to enjoy starting May 23rd through June 5th. MayMay Made It was the first one up yesterday and today myself and Shae are sharing our inspiration.  Make sure to visit the daily YouTubers to play along in our game for some great prizes.  We will do this hop style, so you will watch the first video on Maymay Made It's Channel then you will hop to the others using the description box to see who is next. The contest is super fun, each creator will name a tool from their dad's tool box using the alphabet to keep us straight. You can start a list on your paper A thru Z and each time you catch a video write down the tool mentioned in the video. In the last video (Gareth's) there will be a link to a giveaway, you will list the tools you collected to be entered. Open internationally to persons 18 years and over.
Go ahead and subscribe to all these wonderful channels!

Here is the card I made for my video.  Now remember, you must follow along on YouTube to see all the participates and to grab your key words.  Oh this is going to be so much fun!

Okay I'll wrap up my post so you can head on over to my YouTube channel and join in on the fun.  I hope you are overloaded with inspiration for your next guy card.  I'll see you back here soon.

Go forth and be crafty~

Super Easy Masculine Card

Hey peeps.  I have a video for you today.  I'm back playing in my stamp room.  I needed to make a quick masculine card for a friend of mine.  I really struggle when it comes to making these kinds of cards.  Maybe I'll do a video series on making cards for guys. ;-)

Here is the card I made.  I used  items that many of you may already have in your stamp room.  Using background stamps allow you to be very creative in how you use them.  You can use gelatos, distress inks, markers, color pencils, etc. at add some color to them.

Now onto the video.  I hope you like my little tutorial.  You can also watch it right HERE.  I'll be back soon with more crafty goodness for you.  Also don't forget to check out my review of the mat I'm using right here in the video.  Enter for your chance to win one! Head on over to this post now!

Until we meet again....go forth and be crafty~

Just Shake Your Rump!!

Hey peeps.  Back with a groovy card for you.  Over at Color Me Creative we are having a "dude" card challenge.  I for one do not make a lot of dude cards and I struggle when I have to put one together.  So when I saw this image I just thought, what the hell, just go all out with this one!  LOL  This guy soooo reminds me of my Dad and Uncle back in the day.  You could not tell these guys they were not the hottest things out there.  They would take my Mom and Aunt out on the down and thought they were the top dog!!  LOL  It makes me still giggle.

This hilarious image is from Dr. Digi's House of Stamps.  And they just happen to be our sponsor for the challenge as well.  So why don't you head on over and pick up a digi or two.  Remember if you are a little shy about your Copic skills, don't be...there are plenty of exciting classes that Suzanne offers to get you going.

Can't wait to see what you guys come up with.

Hugs and love~

Boy Inspired Challenge - CMC Style

Good morning peeps.  Awww...I'm so glad you stopped by.  I have a challenge for you today.  All of us at Color Me Creative are showing you our "boy inspired" cards and creations.  The sponsor this week is the one and only Mo's Digital Pencil.  I just love Mo's amazing digital images.  The image on my gift card holder is Matt Typing.  This image so reminds me of my son.  He's always propped up on his bed with his laptop.  Inside is an  Itunes gift card for a friends birthday.  I'm sure he'll put it to good use.

Here's a close up of my colored image
Make sure to swing by the CMC Copic Challenge to see all the amazing cards the other DT members made.  And I hope you join in on the fun.  I have soooo many boy inspired images that need to be colored up.  I'll be back with more later.  I'm also entering my card in the Tuesday Throwdown Challenge.

I'm off to try and find a place to repair my IPad.  I cracked the screen last night and I'm so bummed out.  You would of thought I had hurt my child or something.  I'm just so attached to the darn thing.  I need a doctor quick!!!  If it's unrepairable, I guess it's time to upgrade to the IPad 2.  But I did say, I treated it like my child so I guess I can't "technically" call it an upgrade right?!?!  LOL

Hugs and happy stamping~

Kenny K Anniversary with a Sketch Saturday Flair

Hey Kenny K is one year old!!  It has been a blast following their blog and participating in the challenges. I am a huge fan of Kenny K images so I wanted to dedicate my card to all the groovy people that put their heart and soul into these wonderful  images.

My groovy dude is pumping up the jams this week at the Sketch Saturday challenge.  Oh yes, he ROCKS!!  He so reminds me of this reggae guy I met several years ago at a block party.  The music was great and we were jamming to his guitar.

Speaking of jamming to some beats. I need to load up my IPod with some music to travel with.  Can't go on a road trip with the tunes.  Check you guys out later.

Hugs and happy stamping!!

Second Posting - KKKG #51

I'm back for a second challenge today.  I just had to play along in the Kenny K Krafty Girlz Challenge.  The challenge was to use red, white and blue.  I had the biker image from Kenny K for a while and had not colored in the clothing.  Well today my biker is roaming the street of Georgia celebrating his independence.  With the 4th of July just around the corner, it's a great time to say thank you to our troops for keeping us free.  So ride on fella and enjoy your independence.

See ya back here soon.

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day!!  This shout out goes out to all the awesome fathers out there.  And to the ones that are not only a "father" but a "DAD" as well. :-)

To honor their dad, my kids and I made this card for him.  He's our "star" for sure.  This card also fits today's SCS Featured Stampers Challenge.  Congrats Tami.  Tami's gallery is amazing.  So many things I could of cas'd.  But we couldn't stop there.  We challenged ourselves to use the left over paper from this card to make two more.

Check these out!  I love using coordinating paper on cards that are going to the same person for the same occasion.  I think we pulled it off kiddie!!

Thanks for stopping by today and have a wonderful day.  Sending huge hugs to all the dad's out there today.  Don't forget...YNS is still running the 10% off your order until MIDNIGHT June 20th.

Doing the Release Hop!

Hey welcome back!  Hope you got to me from Beth's bog.  Glad your enjoying the hop for Your Next Stamps May release.  Super great cards to show you.  Here's my card using the "Golf Scene" image.  I love this image.  I don't have a ton of "guy" stamps so this works perfect for me.  I have a few golfer guys as friends so I know they will appreciate this kind of card.  And the sentiment is also a new release from the scene sentiment package of stamps.  To top everything off Karen is giving you 10% OFF YOUR ENTIRE ORDER!  All you have to do is use the code YNSMAYNR at the end of your order.  How easy is that? The hop will run from TODAY (May 23) at 0800 (EST) and ends midnight (EST) May 27th.
Make sure you leave a comment on each of your blogs and enter your name on the link on Karen's blog for your chance to win a new release prize package.  Now it's time to hop on over to Cindy's blog and look at the awesome project she came up with.

Happy hopping!

Happy Hour Freddy

Hey peeps.  I'm doing my Sunday Featured Stamper Challenge today over at SCS and I just had to post this card.  A dear co-worker of mine is going through a rough time and I don't want him to think that we have forgotten about him during happy hour so I thought good ole' Freddie Frog from I Brake For Digis would make him feel like he's still with us. :-)  This frog just cracks me up.  The sentiment is a stamp from TAC that I just took the words 'happy hour' from.  It fit perfect with Freddie.  I hope this makes my co-worker smile.

Take care everyone.

Materials used:

Paper:  Scrap Bin
Ribbn: Srap Bin
Copic Markers:  Y11, YG03, G24, E17, C1, R29, B000, Colorless Blender

Rugged Cross

How blessed I'm feeling today.  I hope everyone is having a beautiful Saturday.  Well, done with my Father's Day shopping and the goodies my husband will receive tomorrow are fabulous. He's one lucky man. :-)  I had previously made my husband a Father's Day card but decided I wanted to do something different.  The card I'm showing you today was made with I Brake For Digis' Rugged Cross.  I know it's not the usual "father's day" image but I'm so blessed to have my husband that I wanted to do something different and show that God is behind the blessing that we receive. I love that fact that you can resize this image since it's digital to make it as large or as small as you need it to be.  That's the beautiful of digi "stamps". The sentiment is from Stampabilities called Mattew 7:7.

Well, since the card is finished I better get to work on the gift wrapping.  So may gifts, so little time.  If you have a father in your life, I'm wishing him a great day tomorrow and always.  Happy stamping everyone.

CPS171

Welcome back buddies!! :-)  Not feeling my best today but before I take my medicine and head off the la-la land I wanted to make a card for the CPS Challenge.  I had made all my father's day cards and then realized that I had made one for my kids to give to their Dad but I had not made one from me.  My husband is obviously not "my dad" (oh goodness how weird would that be!!!) but we always give each other Mother's and Father's Day cards.  So this sketch came in handy.  All the materials came out of my scrap bin and I had to only ink up one stamp.  Whew, that was easy. :-)

Well thanks for stopping by and hopefully I willl see ya back tomorrow for the Repeat Impressions What If Wednesday sketch.

Materials used:
Paper: SU Chocolate Chip, So Saffron, Bashful Blue and scrap paper from Hobby Lobby
Stamp: Dad (A Muse Art Stamps)
Ink: Stazon Timber Brown, SU So Saffron and Bashful Blue
Accessories:  White Sharpie Paint Pen

Here's the supplies I used:
Paper: SU Certainly Celery, Bazzill Blue, SU Whisper White, K& Company Amy Butler Belle

For My Dad

Well, last night I was super busy so I didn't have a chance to do the Sketch Challenge at SCS until almost 9pm last night.  But better late and never I say.  I made this card for my father-in-law's birthday which is tomorrow.  Once again, better late with a card then never sending one out. LOL  It seems that my husband always reminds me of a birthday the week that I need to sent the card.  My only downside is I never have alot of masculine cards.  I need to replinish my stash.

All of the paper came from my scrap bin.  The stamp is from KTDesigns Online. I've had this stamp in my drawer forever and it worked perfect for this card since I needed a longer stamp to my sentiment.  I think my father-in-law will really like his card.  What do you think? :-)  Gotta run, but I'll see you back soon.

Hugs~

SCS Challenge TLC227

Hi everyone. Hope you're having a great Monday. I'm a little late posting today. I haven't been feeling well but I wanted to at least do one challenge today and I'm glad I did. This card for the SCS Challenge TLC 227 Faux Burnt Edges. I haven't done a technique challenge in awhile so I thought, why not today? I used all TAC (The Angel Company) products for today's challenge since the new catty arrived in my mailbox this morning. The paper is from the Reece Collection and the stamp is African Giraffe. I used Palette ink spots New Canvas, Burnt Amber, Charcoal and Noir to shade the giraffe and Stazon Timber Brown to stamp the image. I think used a white gel pen for the lines on the borders. I hope you like my little creation today. Have a wonderful Monday everyone. See ya back real soon.

Have a Drink My Friend

Here is a card I made for my sister's male friend. He loves his cognac and especially Hennessey. I printed this image off the internet but it was not colored. I used Tim Holtz distressing ink in vintage photo to take down the white background. I then colored in the glass with my SU markers to darken the color of the cognac. My sister said her friend loved it. He wants to order some cards for his male friends. :-) Hope you like it too.
