Color Me Creative Challenge

Hey peeps.  Happy Monday.  I'm here today with my card for the current challenge going on over at Color Me Creative.  For this challenge, we had to incorporate the color red into our card or creation.  Well, I think I have that covered.  This adorable image by Art by Miran (which just happens to be the sponsor) was given to me to color up.  I had a blast coloring up this image.  I used my Copic markers (of course) and a splash of Wink of Stella. 

I slanted my designer paper as I've been seeing this all over the internet. The paper is from Little Azelea by Embellish by Dena.  Love it!  The sentiment is from the Simply Fabulous Sayings set by My Favorite Things.

I hope you take a chance and join in on the fun.  Remember you can use any alcohol based marker so don't think that you must use Copics.  The challenge will run until March 14th.  So you have plenty of time to get creative on this one.  Can't wait to see what you come up with.

Let's Hear It For The Girls

Hey peeps.  Happy FRIDAY!!  So glad to be sailing into another weekend.  They come and go so darn quick.  Well it's time to get your girlie-ness on.  The challenge is up over at Color Me Creative and we want to see your girl power.  We had the chance to work with these adorable images from Dilly Bean Stamps.  I am in love with this big beautiful images.  So fun to color too.  I could of went all sparkle and glitz on this card but I really wanted this image to stand out on it's own.  I colored her up with my Copic markers and I have to say, she's beautiful.  Don't cha think?  You will be seeing her again I promise.

Color Me Creative Challenge

Hey peeps.  It's time for another challenge over at Color Me Creative.  You have free range with your card.  The challenge is an anything goes so let's start 2014 off  with some coloring and card making!! I used this adorable bachelorette image from Kenny K.  I've had this image FORVER.  I love the look on her face.  PRICELESS!!!!  I followed the sketch layout over at Sketch N Stash for this card.  I'm crafting from my sisters home so I don't have all of my craft supplies with me.  What a nightmare at the airport for the items I did bring.  My luggage was a little over and they charged with an additional $200 to get my bags on the damn plane!!  One was two pounds over and the other one four pounds.  I had no choice but to pay since I couldn't just let me stuff go in the trash.  GRRRRR...I was not happy!  Lesson learned as I will be mailing back all of my stamping stuff along with some clothes so I will not be paying that ridiculous fee to get back home.

Okay, enough of my complaining.  I'm entering my card into the Sketch N Stash and Kenny K challenges.  I hope everyone has stepped into 2014 healthy and blessed.  Can't wait to see what you create.

Just Shake Your Rump!!

Hey peeps.  Back with a groovy card for you.  Over at Color Me Creative we are having a "dude" card challenge.  I for one do not make a lot of dude cards and I struggle when I have to put one together.  So when I saw this image I just thought, what the hell, just go all out with this one!  LOL  This guy soooo reminds me of my Dad and Uncle back in the day.  You could not tell these guys they were not the hottest things out there.  They would take my Mom and Aunt out on the down and thought they were the top dog!!  LOL  It makes me still giggle. 

This hilarious image is from Dr. Digi's House of Stamps.  And they just happen to be our sponsor for the challenge as well.  So why don't you head on over and pick up a digi or two.  Remember if you are a little shy about your Copic skills, don't be...there are plenty of exciting classes that Suzanne offers to get you going.

Operation Write Home Blog Hop

Hey peeps!  Thanks sooo much for coming by!   Some very exciting news to share.We brought our creativity together in the hopes that we would inspire you to join us (DT members) in doing a good deed! Most of you know our men and women from the armed forces are deployed all over the world. Sometimes these men and women are in places that make it very hard,or they’re far away from where they can pick up a sweet card to send a quick note home. Luckily,they have OPERATION WRITE HOME (OWH). 

OWH is a non-profit organization that sends special boxes filled with cards to soldiers all over the world. How can you help OWH keep the good deed going? By creating cards!!! Yes! OWH angels receive tons of handmade cards from crafters all over the world,then they check and organize cards to be sent out to our soldiers. Take a look at some of their own words about OWH packs:

Now on to my little project:

I used the adorable Karen Middleton image called Love Birds from Sweet Pea Stamps.  Isn't this just the cutest digital image?  I had so much fun coloring this one.  I used Copic X-press It Blending paper and of course Copic markers for the coloring.  The designer paper is from Doodle Bug Flower Box and Heidi Grace Sunshowers paper packs.  The gem with the bakers twine is also Heidi Grace collection.

CMC Challenge - Fall Colors

Hey peeps.  Hope everyone had a great weekend and are striving to make this a great Monday.  I'm back with a card for the new challenge over to Color Me Creative.  Since the weather is changing and fall is in full bloom we would love to see your fall cards.  Now mine is not really a fall card BUT it does have fall COLORS. :-)  A few months ago I was down in Florida and ran across a stamp store in St Augustine.  Well I didn't just run across it.  Every time I leave Georgia and head out of state I'm always looking for stamp stores to "swing" by.  LOL  And my ever so loving husband drives me there and waits in the car while I shop.  I'm sure he waits in the car because he really doesn't want to see me squeal over all the stamping stuff.  And of course, he really doesn't want to see the amount I spend in these stores either.  Well, that's my story and I'm sticking to it!

Anyway, I feel in love with a sample card that was done at the store and "HAD" to purchase this stamp from Northwoods Rubber Stamps.  I stamped it with Versamark on watercolor paper and embossed it black embossing powder.  I used my Tsukineko markers and a water pen to blend the colors.  Once that was done I used my Wink of Stella Brush in clear to add some sparkle along with some Stickles in Diamond.  The paper is from the August Kraftin' Kimmie Krafty Kardmaking Kit.    Well, I hope you enjoyed your visit today and will join in on the fun at CMC.

Color Me Creative New Challenge

CMC - Show us som PINK

Hey peeps.  I hope everyone is starting their week of in grand style.  I'm back with another card for the Color Me Creative challenge going on for the new two weeks.  We would like to see some PINK on your cards.  Any color pink will do.  I used this adorable image from Mo's Digital Pencil that I had colored up.  The sentiment is from Our Craft Lounge Granny's Support Team set.  This just cracks me up.  Such a humorous set.

CMC - Show Your Animal Side

Hey peeps.  I hope everyone is having a wonderful Sunday.  After all the 4th of July celebrations, it's good to just sit back and relax for a bit.  And by relaxing, I mean participating in a new challenge over at Color Me Creative.  :-)  It's time to show us your "animal" side.  I am using the adorable Gemma The Giraffe from Digital Delights.  Isn't she the cutest digi ever?!?! 

Of course I colored her up with my Copic makers and I used an older paper pack from K&Company called Isty Bitsy.  I can't wait to give this to one of my friends for her little boy.

Color Me Creative Challenge

Morning peeps.  I'm back with another Color Me Creative challenge.  Get the summer feeling going with a card using blues, greens, yellow and orange.  I used the  image called I Want To Be Like Dad from this our sponsor Milk Coffee.  I made this Father's Day card for a friend of mine.  Your son is always mirroring his dad.  It's just the sweetest thing to see. 

Of course I colored up my image with Copic Makers and used paper from my MME Lost and Found Breeze paper pack.  I really like the way this card turned out.

CMC Challenge

Hey peeps.  Is everyone having an AWESOME Saturday?  I hope where ever you are your day is super fabulous.  I'm here today to show you my card for the Color Me Creative challenge.  This challenge it's all about BRUNETTE hair.  Now if you are a little bit on the nervous side about coloring hair, don't be.  Suzanne has a great class called All About Hair  that features exciting ways and color combos to help you out.  The image I used for my card is from Digi My World Designs (which happens to be our sponsor for the challenge) called Apple Park.

Here is a quick breakdown on the rules:

CMC Challenge

Hey peeps.  Before I start with any information about my card I would like to thank all the men and women who have served and are still serving our great nation.  May God continue to bless you and your families for the sacrifices you have made to keep us from harms way.

Okay, now on to my card. :-)  It's time for another challenge over at CMC.  Our cards for this challenge was to use the color orange in a fun way.  Well I think I have that covered.  I love this fitness image from Bugaboo who is our sponsor for the challenge.  Yup this definitely sums it up for me.  LOL  As we are already in the "bikini season" I shall again pass this year.  Don't want to scare the kids.  ;-)  I will "embrace" the lovely curves and valleys that I hold near and dear to my hips, stomach and thighs.  Plus I need to hide my identity in the "fitness" protection program.  Hey, you just can't take life too serious!

Happy Birthday CMC

Raving RED Challenge

Hey peeps.  Wow...it's been almost two weeks since I have posted a card or creation for you.  Sorry about the delay but health and family responsibilities have gotten in the way of me being in my stamp room. 

My card for you today is for the new challenge over at Color Me Creative.  We want to see your RED inspirations.  I think the color red is such a strong and powerful color.  It can also be one that gives you that little bit of umph in your step.  When I wear red I feel a little sassy and full of strength.  Back when I was younger I would wear red ALL the time.  If I wore red lipstick my dear Nana who was soo proper would say "my dear Dana do you have to wear that lipstick?  You know only the ladies that walk the streets at night wear that color."  LOL.  I would just laugh at her and say "it's okay Nana, I won't be walking the streets with my lipstick on."  I loved that woman I swear.  LOL My Nana was a wonderful old lady with her pearls dangling from her neck and her hair neatly in place.  I never once saw my Nana in a pair of pants.  Always had a dress on and always looking sharp.  I sure do miss her.

CMC - Big Hair

Hey peeps.  Back with another card.  The new challenge over at Color Me Creative is all about hair.  Yup, I used to rock BIG hair back in the 80's.  LOL  I would tease it up and rock it girl!  And sad to say I still see some of my friends rocking that look.  Let it go ladies, let it go!!  I used my Copic markers to color up this image from Kraftin' Kimmie.  The colors I used were E57, E25, E27.  Well at least those of the colors I remember in my head.  LOL

I hope you join in on the challenge.  I love to see what colors talented people use to color hair.  Always looking for more color combos.  And if you are not at the fabulous stage of coloring hair, make sure you pick up Suzanne's hair coloring class.  You'll be rocking hair in no time. Spring Time Fun at Color Me Creative

Hey peeps.  I'm back with another challenge from Color Me Creative.  First let me say thank you to all my peeps for the birthday wishes.  I had a fabulous weekend.  My twin and I are sooo alike.  We both sent each other a piece of jewelry for our birthday without even knowing it.  I swear by that saying twins think alike.  LOL
