Turtle - Turtle

Hey peeps.  IT'S TUESDAY!!  Yup, yup it's digi release day at Some Odd Girl.  Here's another new friend called Sea Turtle.  But you know me...I have to name him.  Let's see...he looks like a Sam to me.  He has the cutest little grin on his face doesn't he.  I set Sam out on an adventure today.  I made a funky kind of background for Sam.  I'll have to do a tutorial and show you how I made it.

So now it's time for you to head on over to Some Odd Girl and grab you sea turtle to name.  Once you name it show us over on the Some Odd Girl Facebook Community Page.

Inspiration from Some Odd Girl and ARC Crafts

Hey peeps.  Happy Friday.  Well we are coming to the end of the cross promotion between Some Odd Girl and ARC Crafts.  Didn't you just LOVE all the projects that where made with these two fabulous companies?  Man, the ladies REALLY rocked this promotion.  For my last card I wanted to give the paper from ARC Crafts and the smile sentiment from Some Odd Girl the spot light.  I love this wood grain paper soo much.

Sea Ya Soon - Some Odd Girl Style

Hey peeps.  Happy Tuesday to everyone.  So you know what day it is right?  Of course you do.  It's digital release day at Some Odd Girl.  Here is Harold my new Jelly Fish.  Yup, I'm naming all my images now.  He's swimming by on my card today.  You know it's all about the beach and the waves.  So I had to break out stencil so Jelly Fish here had somewhere to hang out.  I layered the card base with a piece of vellum and stamped the sea ya soon in white embossing powder.  I had those lovely blue gems in my embellishment stash.  The hide the glue I needed to hold down my vellum.  Tricky, tricky, tricky! :-) Head on over to the SOG Shop and pick up your jelly fish to name.

Gotta run as I have a ton of things to get done today.  Sea Ya Soon.

Well HELLO There

HELLO peeps!  I hope everyone is having a great day.  Some Odd Girl has done it again with another fantastic cut file release.  Today in the shop is this ubber sassy cut file available in the This Moment Sentiment Pack.  As everyone knows cut files and word dies are all the rave right now.  But the great thing about a cut file is you can resize them to any size you want.  Love the versatility with these files.  So on my first card I used some My Mind's Eye Fiddlesticks card stock and some Bazzill paper.  I also didn't want to just have this sentiment stuck on a square piece of paper so I used the MFT snowdrift die cut for my HELLO to sit on.

Now for this card I used the negative piece from the first hello.  Nothing goes to waste in my stamproom.  LOL  I am such a hoarder of paper it's a sin.  But if I use it up I don't feel so bad,This card is really simple and help to make the sentiment be the highlight of my card.  Again I used the MME Fiddlesticks paper pack.

Now, head on over to SOG blog and check out what some of the ladies have to offer you today.  We would love to see your creations too over at the Some Odd Girl Community on Facebook.

SOG New Digi Release

Hey peeps.  Happy Tuesday to you!  It's time for another fantastic digi release from Some Odd Girl.  Today's image is one of my favs so far. Meet the every talented Singer Kaylee!  She is belting out some tunes for you today.  LOL  Isn't she such a bad ass with that 80's inspired outfit on?  She is rocking on this card.

I colored her up with my Copic markers and even gave her a touch of lipstick and some hot pink eyeliner.  Come on now, you know you rocked that look in the 80's.  I know I did along with the matching nail polish and lipstick.  LOL  My gorgeous hot pink polka dot paper is from Ruby Rock-It.  It worked perfectly with my Copic colors for this card.  I added a touch of Wink of Stella on my image because everything looks better with a little sparkle! ;-)

Make sure you swing by the Some Odd Girl blog to check out all the other amazing creations the other DT ladies have to show you.  Come back and see me soon!

Get in Gear - Some Odd Girl

Hey peeps.  Time for a digi release at Some Odd Girl.  Here is another fantastic cut file from SOG.  This one is called Gears.  As soon as I saw this cut file I thought Father's Day for some reason.  I'm sure all father's at one time said "get your but in gear" to their teen age child.  I know I have heard it several times for my hubby.  LOL

Since the cut file fit nicely on the front of my card it was a snap to put together.  I placed the cut file on some adhesive paper and layered on some distressed glitter.  You can't really see it in the photo but in real life it's pretty awesome.

Now it's time to do what we do best...SHOP.  Head on over to the SOG store and pick up your new cut files.  And if you fancy load up your cart some with amazing digis to go with this cut file.

Grandma's Garden - Some Odd Girl

Some Odd Girl April Release - Ladybug Tia

Hey peeps.  Welcome to my first post as a Some Odd Girl DT member.  I'm super excited to be showing you one of the new release images called Lady Bug Tia.  Isn't she soo cute?!?!

I colored her up with my Copic markers and wanted to keep her as the centerpiece of my card.  I ran a black piece of card stock through my Big shot and that was it.  I used my new Bow It All and I love the way this bow came out.  I needed to add a little something else to the card so I used polka dot brads to add to the end of her antenna.

Now on to even more exciting news.  Some Odd Girl April Linky Party is now up and running.   Plus the site has a new look.  Head on over to the party and check out all the excitement.  Don't forget to show some love to the ladies today on their amazing cards for this week's release.

Tweet, tweet I'm an Oddie!!

Hey peeps!!  Well here is the news I've been dying to share with you.  I made the Some Odd Girl Design team!  (insert happy dance)  I'm super thrilled to be hanging out with these talent ladies on the digi team. And boy do we have some great things to showcase to you in the coming weeks.  Make sure you hang out with us on the community page on Facebook and follow the blog as well.  You don't want to miss a thing.

In honor of me making the team I decided to share one of my favorite SOG digis with you.  I colored sweet Tweeting with my Copic markers and popped him up on a white card base.  This way he is the star of the card.  Next I hand wrote Tweet, Tweet. Love how this card came out.

Make sure you swing by the SOG blog to welcome the digi team and show them some love.  I'm sure they will appreciate it.  Now, it's time for me to run.  But make sure you swing back by later in the week.  I'm bound to have another card to show you.

Drinks Anyone?

Hey peeps.  Is it thirsty Thursday yet?  I'm already in need of a drink and it's only Monday.  I had to have a tooth pulled this morning and boy am I feeling that pain now. But nothing really can compare to the pain I was having before it was pulled.  When you have a tooth ache, I swear you just can't think straight.

Anyway, enough about my tooth drama.  I'm excited to say that I'm trying out for the Some Odd Girl design team.  Yup, thought I would try my luck and see what happens.  I really enjoy coloring images from SOG and have been a fan for awhile now.  This image of course is from SOG and it's called Cheers Kaylee.  Yup, you see that fruity drink of hers?  Need one right now!  I colored her with Copic markers and die cut a circle around her.  I didn't like the stark white so I used some SU ink and sponged around her.  The paper is from an old SU pack called Summer Flamingo. I participated in the SOG challenge too by misting the tag with my Heidi Swaps stencil and color shine.  I also misted the background paper as well.

I'm also going to join in on the fun over at Sweet Sunday Sketch and 613 Avenue Create challenges. I'm off to take some more meds for the aching that is going on and probably search for some new card inspiration online.  Wish me luck everyone.

Hugs and love~
