Welcome back friends. I'm sitting in my doctor's appt wondering...umm I wish I could be stamping. :-) I made this card for this weeks 2Sketches4You Challenge. For some reason, I thought red and green for this card. I know this looks kind of Christmas like but I just love these two patterns together. And one of my fav stamp set are these strawberries. I could just about eat this card. Oh, I might have to make some chocolate covered strawberries for friends who are visiting from out of town. Yep, that's what I'm gonna do. Who can turn down chocolate and strawberries? Oh, they are calling my name. I gotta run. Take care everyone and see ya soon.

Hi friends. Sorry I'm so late posting today. I had a wonderful weekend at a friends home in Florida and did not want to leave. It takes us about 5 1/2 hours to get back home so I was rather late getting my card posted. This card is for this weeks CPS challenge. What a fun layout. I already had this image stamped (thank goodness). I have had these pearls in my embellishment draw forever so I pulled them out to use on this card. I love this stamp set from Kitchen Sinks. I used my Cuttlebug for the background to add some texture to the card. I hope you like it. Well, I'm off to go unpack and then pack again for another trip to Florida tomorrow. This trip won't be fun at all. I don't think medical appts have ever been fun for me. Take care everyone and see ya soon!

Family Time

Hey everyone. I don't have a card to post today since it's all about my family this weekend. My hubby, kids and I are on the road heading to Florida to visit a dear friend. We have not had a "family vacation" in some time now and it feels good to just have my kids and hubby around to joke with and love on. Family means the world to me. The guys are taking a fishing trip and the ladies are shopping (of course). While they are out there trying to reel in the big one, we will be in the stores trying to reel in a big sale. :-)

Hope you all get to have some family time this weekend. Don't forget to gives them lots of hugs and kisses. Take care and see ya Monday.

Hugs

Strawberry Delight

Hello friends. I'm out and about with my family sharing some quality time but I wanted to show you my latest card for the CPS Challenge this week. I received my Flourishes strawberry stamp set in the mail and I LOVE it. It's so much fun to color. Here is a closeup of how I added a little bit of sparkle to the strawberries
I know I'll be using this stamp set in many of my cards. There are 15 stamps in this set and I love every single on of them. I saw so many fabulous cards and items made with this set that I had to have it and quick. I participated in the release party on Friday night and by Monday I have my set. That's what I'm talking about. LOL Take care everyone and see ya back soon.

Stamps: Flourishes Strawberries
Paper: SU Kiwi Kiss, TAC Tuscany Spice Designer Collection GP White
Accessories: Gelly Roll Gliiter Pen in red, green and white, Copic Markers R24, R29, YG03, YG05, SU scallop punch and eyelet punch

Snowflakes and Squares

Okay, I know it's only July but I wanted to use my snowflake stamp for 2Sketches4U Challenge. To be honest, I usually have at least 25-30 Christmas cards already made but I haven't made one at all yet. I send out about 100 to family and friends each year so I guess I better get busy. I'm going to be holding stamp camps from August through December so some of my friends and I can get busy with all of our Christmas cards. If I were to send out a "regular" card to my family and friends I probably wouldn't get one in return. LOL I have them so spoiled. Take care everyone and see ya back soon.

Stamp: Paper Studio Clear Stamps Snowflakes
Paper: Memory Box Christmas Collection, SU Real Red, Garden Green, GP White
Accessories: Versa Mark, Red Embossing Powder, Ticket Punch, White Ribbon

Thinking Fall

Oh, it's a little cool here in Georgia. It feels like fall this morning so I pulled out my leaves stamp set and got busy with some challenges. This card is for today's SCS sketch challenge and the StampTV color challenge. I have to say I love both of these challenges. The layout today is really simple and so easy to pull off with your "little" stamps and I just love, love, love these colors together. The colors to me definately say ""welcome fall". These colors can also work for a great male card as well. I have vision now in my head on how I'm going to use this layout and color combination again. Now I'm off to shop the internet for more goodies. I know I don't need them but this addiction has my wallet today. :-) Take care and see ya back soon.

Stamps: Hero Arts Artistic Leaves, Rubber Soul Thanks

Triple Panel Doodle This

Hi friends! I have been busy making sure my daughter celebrated her birthday in style. I'm just now getting my card loaded for this weeks Mojo Monday Challenge. I love this layout as it helps me use up my scrap pieces of paper. I once again used the Doodle This stamp set from Stampin' Up along with their pretty designer paper called Pink Flamingo. I colored the image with Cameo Coral, cut it out and added some Stickles for a little bit of sparkle. I cut out each little leaf and added it to the circle. I had a scrap piece (yea, I'm using all my little resources!) of Certainly Celery ribbon and a cute little pink flower brad. Thanks for stopping by today. I'm off to make sure my daughter and her friend are not tearing up my upstairs. Take care everyone and see ya back soon.

My Flourishes

Inspiration is everywhere we look. That's what I love about life. You can be inspired from just about anything. My card today was inspired by yesterday's SCS Featured Stamper Dianne. She has an awesome gallery on SCS and her inspiration is endless. I love my Doodle This set from Stampin' Up but I don't use it every often. Well, I broke it out for this occasion. I already had my Hero Art flower called Single Bloosom already colored my my Copic Markers so it worked great on this card. I used my Stickles (I just love anything that sparkles) on the center of my flower. I also used my glitter pen to make the flowers on the flourish part sparkle just a little. Well, I'm off to celebrate my daughter's 19th birthday at the Georgia Aquarium and then to the Japanese Steakhouse. Yup, she's just a little spoiled. Have a great day everyone and see ya back here real soon.

Don't you just love single floral images? I do because they have a way of making such beautiful cards. I'm posting a card I made for the Hero Art Challenge. You had a pick a card, scrapbook or an item from their main website and use that as your inspiration. I picked this simple layout as I love how the flower is the focal point. I used my Dew Drops to stamp the image. I then used my Cuttlebug for the background. This was a super easy card to make. How about challenging yourself to come up with a simple elegant card today? I bet you can do it! Take care everyone and see ya soon.

Peek-a-boo

Welcome back everyone. How many time have you just wanted to stash a little something in a box, bag or container to say thanks to someone who has done a nice favor or task? Well I have had plenty of awesome friends to thank and what better way then to do it with a cute little box full of sweets. I decided to make the Peek-a-boo box from the SCS tutorial. These are the cutest little treasures and pretty easy to make. Just make sure you have acetate on hand or some clear envelopes so your candy doesn't fall out. I'm going to fill my little treasures with jelly beans, M&M and Mike and Ikes. I'm a straight up junk food junkie. I think I need rehab! LOL Thanks for stopping by. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at mzdjoy@yahoo.com . Have a great weekend everyone.

Who Doesn't Like Chocolate???

Good morning. Here is an example of a great gift for anyone that you just want to say "thanks for all you do". My friend Shun and I made these for her going away gifts to all her coworkers who had done so much for her. And can I say....everyone LOVED them. They were super easy to make. All the material for the containers were purchased from Hobby Lobby except for the candy. We wrapped each nugget with a 1 1/4" x 3" piece of paper and filled the container with them. Then we cut strips of paper to wrap the container. We added the blue ribbon for just a touch of class as there is just a hint of it in the paper. These containers were a great gift for our co-workers. You can easily make them too. If you have any questions, feel free to e-mail me at mzdjoy@yahoo.com. Have a wonderful day everyone.

CPS Challenge 124

Hi everyone. Welcome back to my blog. I'm finally getting around to doing this weeks CPS Challenge. I had a very busy day yesterday with my great friend Jacki (check out her blog). We had planned on stamping and I had planned on working on this challenge but we got to talking and talking and more talking. By the time I knew it, it was time to take my 2 hour drive back home. Thanks Jacki for a great day. Can't wait to do it again. Oh, back to the card. I needed to use up some of my scrap paper (you know the pile with all the little bitty pieces of paper you swear you're going to use LOL). I used my Opsie Daisy stamp from The Angel Company and my Single Flower Sentiment from Stampabilities. I colored in the image with Copics and SU markers. Once again, I broke out my white gel pen to make all the dashes. Hope you liked my card today. I'm off to re-decorate my stamp room (only for the 5th TIME). Take care.

2redbananas Challenge Week of July12-18

Happy Monday everyone. Here is my card for this weeks 2RedBananas Challenge. I have to admit, I had a "senior" moment with this card. I could not for the life of me remember how to cut the paper to make the angles on the card. Once I slightly (and I mean slightly) remembered how to make them, I went forth with making my card. I downloaded this image from the internet and colored it with my Copic makers. I just love this image and it's tons of fun to color. I have soooo many buttons that I need to use, you might just start seeing them more and more on my cards. LOL If you would like more information on this card, please feel free to e-mail me at mzdjoy@yahoo.com. Have a great day everyone.

July 12, 2009

Good morning everyone. Hope you're having a blessed Sunday morning. Today I'm featuring a card in honor of Kelly (Meow) on Splitcoast Stampers. She is the featured stamper today and she is just awesome. I made my card mirroring one of Kelly's card that had a large flower in the middle with three panels behind it. I had this paper in my "scrap bin" and decided to use it today since I was in a "paisley" mood. The colors in this paper are so pretty that a variety of purples, blues and greend can be used with it. I stamped out each petal and then glued it on the paper. I have a ton of buttons so I thought a large one for the center of this flower would go perfectly. I hope you like my little creation for today. Come back tomorrow and see what I have in store. Have a wonderful day everyone.

Covered Chocolate

Well what better way then to start your day but with chocolate. A super cool young lady (Beth) just had her 22nd birthday and I thought chocolate was just perfect for the occasion. This cute little box (the case my son's Ipod Touch came in) was perfect for this gift. I cut paper 1 1/4" by 3" and wrapped each nugget. I was able to get ten perfectly wrapped Hersey nuggets in the case. I then wrapped the case with brown and green paper and orange ribbon. I used my Nestabilities to cover where the paper met. Beth loved her present. What she loved the most...the recycled container! Gotta love it. Have a super Friday everyone.

Dream A Little

Morning everyone. Hope you are doing well. Here is my card for the SCS Sketch Challenge for today. I feel in love with this paper at Micheal's and knew that it would make a perfect card. Once I saw the challenge I knew this was the paper to use. My friend and co-worker is off to bigger and better things with a new job and new location. I want her to dream of all the possibilities that are ahead for her. I know already that she will succeed in all that she does. I used SU paper to back the image and the DP. Hope you like. Have a great day everyone and see you back tomorrow.

Rip Roaring Good Time

Morning sunshines!! Thanks for stopping by today. Here's my card for today. I wanted to participate in the Mojo Monday 94 Challenge as well as the SCS Color Challenge 226 (Creamy Caramel, Tempting Turquoise, Apricot Appeal and Baja Breeze) so I combined them. The layout is from the Mojo challenge and the colors are from the color challenge. I had a little bit of a hard time incorporating the Tempting Turquoise so I only used it in small amounts. The base card is tempting turquoise and I then sponged it on the peices of Baja Breeze. I just love the layout of this card challenge. I think it will work great with any combination of colors. Well, I'm off to start my day. Take care everyone and see ya soon.

An'udder Birthday?

Good morning everyone. Hope all is well. Here is my card for today's CPS challenge #123. My dear friend Jennifer's birthday is this month and I thought this would be the perfect card for her. Last summer we were out on the lake relaxing and enjoying ourselves. Her family will be visiting in a few weeks and I can't wait. I don't think we will be out on the lake this year but at least we have the memories. LOL I used all TAC products for this card. Just received this paper pack called Catelynne in the mail and it is so pretty. Thanks for your comments today and have a great Monday. See ya back soon.

God Bless

Here is my card in honor of Sandra (B-gin-R on SCS). She is the Featured Stamper today. Check out her gallery it is AWESOME! After looking through her gallery I decided to make this card following a similar layout she had in her gallery. Sandra is an awesome stamper and I'm grateful for all her inspiration. Have a blessed Sunday everyone. Enjoy your day. See ya soon.

July 4, 2009

Happy 4th everyone. I am still on my patriotic roll with my final card of this week. I wanted to make a card thanking all of the men and women who sacrifice everyday to make sure we have our freedom. Stampin' Up stamp set The Free & The Brave was a perfect stamp for this card. This is a very simple card without a lot of fuss. I want the image to be the main focal point. I'm out the door to go thank a few of my friends for all they have done to keep me safe. Spread the love everyone. Have a safe and happy day.

Does This Make My Butt Look Big?

LOL...now that I have your attention! I couldn't resist...this stamp was a must for Flourishes July challenge to use the "feel" of being by the sea. Well for me it's a challenge sitting by the sea without me thinking "does my butt look big" in this bathing suit. I have tried every coverup known to man to make my bottom look "smaller". I'm not 20 anymore. :-) For this challenge I used my package of Jersey Shore paper from SU along with Night of Navy, Pumpkin Pie, Certainly Celery and Whisper White. My Nestabilites came in handy for the circle and scallops. I colored in the image using Copic markers E13, YG03, G24, YR04 and YR07. For the "sand" I sponged on Creamy Caramel and added some specks of Chocolate Chip. You can't see it very well but I had some soft clouds using my Pebbles Inc. Pearlescent Chalking Set. I finally added the last touch of white dots using my white gel pen. Hope you had a good laugh with my card today. See ya back soon.

Salute To Our Freedom

Good morning everyone. I wanted to carry on my patriotic theme this week with another red, white and blue card. I made this card for the CPS122 challenge. It's my first time doing a challenge of this site so wish me luck. I used SU Whisper White, Real Red and Night of Navy paper. I them stamped the stars with SU White Craft ink. I stamped the stars again on red and blue paper and cut them out. I added the scalloped border and paper pierced around the scalloped edges then added the blue ribbon. I thought adding the silver gel pen dots would add a little something to this patriotic card. Thanks for all the men and women who serve this country. One of them happens to be my wonderful husband. Thanks for visiting today. See ya real soon!!

Seeing Circles (SCS SC225 Challenge)

Seeing circles!!! Good morning everyone. I made this card for SCS Challenge SC235. As soon as I saw the sketch I knew exactly what I was going to use. Since this Saturday is the 4th of July I thought I would do a patriotic card. I used SU colors Whisper White, Real Red and Night of Navy. I had these little star stickers for some time now so they were perfect for my card today. I also used the matching colored markers to make all the little dots around the card. Hope you like my card today. Stop by tomorrow to see what's new. Have a great day!
