Sun Moon Stars Card

Hey peeps.  Happy Wednesday.  Okay where in the heck did the week go already?  Ugh, I feel they just go by faster and faster.  Anyway, I'm back with a quick card featuring the Sun Moon Stars stamp set from Fleurette Bloom.  I announced on Periscope last week that I have the pleasure of working with Fleurette showcasing her stamps and products on my Periscope broadcasts.  Fleurette is known for her incredible SVG's but now she has ventured out to clear stamps and boy are we thrilled.  Check out my card.

How cool is this moon?  On my broadcast we named her Sultry Susie.  LOL  Of course the eye lashes are not included in the actual stamp but I felt that my moon was definitely female. ;-)  I used brusho to make the moon because I just love that stuff.  The background is made using distress inks.  I love how this card turned out.  To check out how I made it, you can still catch my broadcast on Katch.me. I'm going to enter my card into the Creative Card Crew Anything Goes Challenge.

Okay peeps, I must run I have a ton of stuff to get done plus a little card making is in order.  I'll see you guys back here soon.  Have a great day!

Paper Smooches Inspriation

Hey peeps.  Back with a super quick card.  I'm playing in the photo inspiration challenge over at Paper Smooches.  So I finally colored up a Starbucks fall cup.  I loved it so much I just had to turn it into a shaker card.  Squealll.....I just love how this card came out.  And I LOVE fall so everything just came together for this challenge.

I used Paper Smooches Good Gab stamp for my sentiment.  Of course I need to send this card to the lovely young lady who send me the cups. ;-)  Saying gracias is only appropriate right?  I am going to enter this card into the November guest designer over at PS too.  I'm out of here peeps.  I'll be back tomorrow.

I Need Some Sunshine

Hey peeps.  Boy am I in need of some sunshine.  It has been doing nothing but raining here in FL.  This is something I definitely was not prepared for.  Where are my beach days?  So in my need for sun I decided to make a sun related card.

I'm not completely setup in my stamp room so I used my distress inks in Lemonade and Spicy Marmalade to make my card.  The stamp set is an older one from Technique Tuesdays.  I cut my panel with MFT Traditional Tags die.  I really like the simplicity of my card I must say.  Very bright and cheery on this gloomy day.  I hope where ever you are there is a little bit of sunshine in your day.  I'm going to enter my card in the Sisters of Craft challenge.  Thanks for stopping by, I'll see ya soon!

Go forth and be crafty~

Out On A Limb

Hey peeps.  Welcome back.  I'm still at it in my stamp room plugging away at my homework assignments.  Today's card was super fun and easy to create.  Have I told you how much I love this watercoloring class?  :-)

Okay so this card was made just splattering color on your watercolor paper and watching it blend.  And if you aren't careful you will splatter your desk, your clothing, any nearby objects (like your camera). But in the end you have a remarkable masterpiece.  I used the Reeves Water Colour paint from Oriental Trading that I gave the review on last week to create these gorgeous colors.  All I had to do was free hand the trunk of the tree and viola, I had a beautiful and colorful tree.  The sentiment is from the Lawn Fawn #Awesome stamp set.

I better get back to my homework.  I mean I don't want to be the "slacker" of the class.  I have a reputation to keep.  LOL   I hope you have a blessed Sunday and I'll see ya soon.

Hugs and love~

Happy Birthday Kim

Back with a quick card.  I wanted to show you a card I made for a sweet friend of mine.  I've been away from work and I missed her birthday.  Hopefully I will be returning back sometime this week and this is the birthday card I made for her.  I saw this technique done by Jennifer McGuire (a stamping legend in my eyes).  I love the way she used the Kelly Purkey dies to create such a beautiful card.  I just had to try it out myself.

The images are from Verve Dream Big set.  I used SU Really Rust, Crush Curry and Close to Cocoa ink pads along with Memento Pear Tart.  The leaves are feathers are a die from Kelly Purkey.  I'm also going to enter this card into the Seize the Birthday challenge.

Well gotta run.  Make sure to swing back by this week as I have some very exciting news to share with you.

Hugs and love~

Your Next Stamp - Tasty Tuesday

Morning Peeps.  Time for another Tasty Tuesday at Your Next Stamp.  This month's inspiration came from this photo from Karen.  Ohhh,,,they look yummy!!  I could eat a stack of those and have no shame.  LOL

Since the photo already put 10 lbs on me I decided to look forward to spring with my photo inspiration card.  I used all YNS die cuts on my card.  I LOVE how this card turned out.  Especially since I didn't have to color anything and I could use of some of my scrap paper.  The sun is from the Whatnots Seasons Set One, the trees from Tree Trio and the grass is the Fun Spring Grass.  I picked the sentiment from Poppy The Groundhog

And since the groundhog didn't see his shadow I'm hoping for an EARLY spring.  Well, thanks for stopping by today and I hope you enjoyed your visit.  I hope you join in on the fun.  Make sure you swing by the YNS blog to see more creations.

Hugs and love~

Showing off your background

Hey peeps.  It's time for another challenge over at CMC.  If you don't make a lot of cards with background images you will love this one. This fabulous pine cone image is from Squigglefly.  I usually would of made this image small enough to be on a panel on a card with background paper behind it.  But how cool does it look as a background?  Got cha thinking now do I?  I colored my image with Copic Markers and ShinHan Art Touch makers.  I have the wood tones set of ShinHan makers and they worked fabulous on these pine cones.  Here are the colors of Copics and Touch makers:

93, 92, 102, 98 - Touch Markers
BG93, BG95 - Copics

I used my clear Spica pen to add a little sparkle but I don't think you can really see it in this picture.  Suzanne works wonders with both sets of markers.  Yes, Suzanne I'm a CMC junkie!!  If you have not taken any of Suzanne's classes you are sooo missing out on getting your skills up using your makers.

Speaking of classes Suzanne has a new on-line class debuting on August 31 that focuses 110% on all hair types, styles and colors.and your can pre-register right now for $45.  Also if you are in the Boston or NYC area Suzanne will be teaching her CT class in Stafford Springs the weekend of August 22nd.  She will be teaching the All About Hair class in person as well.  So head on over to CMCRoad for all the details.

Gotta run and I sure do hope you join in on the fun.  You have until  August 17th to make your project and load it up on the CMC site.

Hugs and love~

WIW at Repeat Impressions

Welcome back!!  So glad you decided to stop by today.  It's What If Wednesday at Repeat Impressions.  I just love Wednesday's when we get to feature a sketch challenge. Check out the sketch that Wendy has for us this week.  Don't cha just love it?!?!  I sure do.  I made this card using the Repeat Impressions Shade of The Elm (2908-I) stamp.  I love this stamp as it always feels so calming.

Now it's your turn, lets see what you can do.  Remember each time you join in on a sketch you have a chance of winning some free rubber.  Make sure you head on over to The House That Stamps Built to get all the details and to check out what some of the other lovely ladies have for you today.

I am honored that my co-design team member Robin Kirkpatrick from Repeat Impressions gave me the Liebster Award.  Thank you Robin!!  The Liebster Blog Award is given to bring newer blogs to light and originated in Germany. It's a great way to share blogs that might not otherwise be seen or ones you want to share with others. They should have less than 150 followers.

As a recipient of this award I must share the love and pay it forward by:

1 Creating a post where I blog about the Liebster award and reveal my 3-5 blog picks

2 Letting the honorees know that I selected them

3 Copying and pasting the blog award on my blog

Most of the blogs I follow are not new, so this was a little bit of a challenge, but here are three blogs you should check out!
Jami - Sgtstamper

Deborah - Dream In Color

Joni - A Sticky Situation

Hugs to you all~
