Oh happy hump day everyone.  This is my favorite day of the week.  Well, besides Saturdays!  LOL  Today I took the time to participate in the Sketch Challenge over at  SCS.  And I say, love this super and quick sketch.  I pulled the sketch up at work....shhhh don't tell my boss. ;-)  And knew exactly what I wanted to use when I got home.

The stamped image came from a dear friend of mine Deb Felts.  I was in the hospital not too long ago and she came to visit and I had the chance to color some images between nurses and doctors checking on my every move.  Thanks Deb.  I used my SU Good Morning Sunshine paper.  The base of the card is Kiwi Kiss and the blue is from the never ending scrap bin.  I think it's a piece of Bazzill paper I found at Hobby Lobby.  I backed my little sun on Kiwi Kiss and Apricot Appeal paper.  The sun and the clouds were colored with my Copic Markers.  Sorry I don't remember the colors I used.  Too many meds in the hospital. LOL

Any who....I hope you like my card.  Please make sure to stop back by.  I love having you visit.  Take care and be blessed until we meet again.

Sweet Rebecca

Happy Monday everyone.  Today I'm featuring my first DT card for Repeat Impressions using the Rebecca (708-K) stamp.  I just love this sweet image.  Rebecca is looking out seeing all the possibilites that are in store for her.  I stamped the image on watercolor paper.  While still in my Nestabilities die I sponged around her with Soft Sky, Bashful Blue and Certainly Celery. I then stamped Rebecca again and watercolored her with Creamy Caramel, Chocolate Chip, Positively Pink and Blush Blossom. I carefully cut her out and popped her up on the sponged background.  The paper is from Basic Grey's DP Lemonade Collection Pack.  For the base of the card I used Blush Blossom.  I added the scalloped edge using my SU punch.  The Thank You (2524-F) sentiment is also from Repeat Impression and was sponged with Certainly Celery.

Now on to the good news.  Since you are one of my blog readers, you can purchase Rebecca for 50% off this week only!!  Woo hooo......love a sale!!  So hop on over to the Repeat Impressions Store and pick up Rebecca for your own!  Also, don't forget to visit Wendy's blog and the other DT members blogs listed below to see what creations they have in store for you.

Glorious Greetings

Welcome back.  I hope everyone is having a blessed Sunday.  Today I am featuring a card for the Featured Stamper over at SCS.  Today's FS is Gloria.  I just love everything in Gloria's gallery.  But I loved her With Heartfelt Sympathy card so much that I choose it to case today.

I used my SU Inspired by Nature stamp set on a scrap piece of Basic Grey paper.  The sentiment came from my SU Warmest Regards set.  I stamped the image and sentiment both in Stazon and shaded in my sun with Barely Banana.  I mounted it on Cool Caribbean and Whisper White paper.  The corners were punched out on Barely Banana paper with my SU punch.

I hope you have enjoyed stopping by today.  I have to run as I'm having a friend over today that I haven't seen in years so I need to go put my "face" on. LOL  Have a wonderful day everyone.

SC277

Hey friends.  Glad to see you visiting again. I'm showcasing my card for the SCS Sketch Challenge today.  I used my Inktegrity doll image today.  Isn't she too cute?  I love coloring in images with my Copic markers.  It seems to really relax me.

The paper was purchased at Hobby Lobby and of course the scraps where in my bin.  I used pink, green and yellow Bazzill paper.  I sponged on Certainly Celery for the grass and I made the clouds with my Pearlescent Chalks.  Of course I broke out my white gel pen to make my dots.  Leave me a comment with your blog link so I can check out your creations today.

Thanks for stopping by today.  See ya back soon.

Welcome back friends.  I'm rushing to get the SCS challenge done tonight.  Another late night in the stamp room but well worth it.  I don't have many sympathy cards for a reason because I know the reason I'm sending them. :-(  I had to make a card to send to one of my family members.  My aunt lost her husband and I'm hoping that my card may cheer her up a little.  It's so hard to lose a loved one.  My prayers are with her right now.

I used my Hero Arts stamped called Silhouette Meadow Flowers and my Stampabilities Praying for You sentiment.  I stamped the flowers in Certainly Celery to match the paper that came out of my scrap bin.  I paper pierced around the flowers and also on the DP.  I layered everything in black and then placed in on Whisper White paper.

Well, I'm off to do what a mom has to get done before the night is over.  Hugs to you all and see ya back soon.

For My Dad

Well, last night I was super busy so I didn't have a chance to do the Sketch Challenge at SCS until almost 9pm last night.  But better late and never I say.  I made this card for my father-in-law's birthday which is tomorrow.  Once again, better late with a card then never sending one out. LOL  It seems that my husband always reminds me of a birthday the week that I need to sent the card.  My only downside is I never have alot of masculine cards.  I need to replinish my stash.

All of the paper came from my scrap bin.  The stamp is from KTDesigns Online. I've had this stamp in my drawer forever and it worked perfect for this card since I needed a longer stamp to my sentiment.  I think my father-in-law will really like his card.  What do you think? :-)  Gotta run, but I'll see you back soon.

For You

Hi everyone.  Hope you all are having a great evening.  I'm home from my first full day back at work and I'm so tired.  I did have a chance to participate in SCS color challenge.  I used my SU stamp Kindred Spirits for the main image.  I used my SU markers to color in the image and then stamped it on my watercolor paper.  The sentiment came from my SU stamp set called All Holidays.  It needed a little something so I pierced around the edges and used my MS punch for the background.  I hope you have a change to play along today.

Side Steppin'

Hii everyone.  Welcome back to my blog.  I made my first ever side steppin' card today.  First let me say that I'm instruction challenged.  I have seen so many of these awesome cards but every time I read the directions and started the fold process I would mess up. So, off the YouTube I went. LOL  I'm attaching two great video tutorials madam513 and crazycard09 to help you out if you are like me.

After you see the videos you'll see that these cards are not has hard as they look.  Here I'm using two of the cute Sweet and Sassy Stamps Toadstool and Sunny Squirrel.  I colored the images with my Copic markers and added some scrap bin paper, a few butons and a happy birthday sentiment to finish off this project.  Oh, I used my forever loved white extra fine point sharpie marker for my dashes.

For the next couple of days I won't have access to my computer but I should be back in my stamp room Tuesday creating something for you to view.  Take care everyone and enjoy your weekend.

Mother's Day

Happy Friday everyone.  Boy, this week went so fast.  I'm back to work full time next week so I probably will be posting later in the day/evening.  Any who, I'm trying to get some of my Mother's Day cards done in advance.  I'm always the "late" daughter when it comes to sending out cards.  Don't know why when I have stacks of them in my stamp room.

I wanted to show you a new and super cool medium I picked up recently.  It's called Embossed Icing.  Now some of you might have already heard about this but for the ones like me, I was so excited when I saw the demo.  To apply the "icing" you use a brass stencil and smooth it on just like cake icing making sure you get into the grooves.  Oh, don't forget to protect the area you don't want to have icing.  Pull off your stencil and voila - you have a beautiful creation.  For this card I used the LA09 and KR11 stencils and the Summer icing set from www.thestencilcollection.com.  Super cool right? I think I'm in love with this stuff. I used my SU Raspberry Tart, Kiwi Kiss and Whisper White paper.  I used my extra fine poster paint Sharpie marker for my dashes and I shaded my image with Kiwi Kiss.

Here's another card I made for my husband who pinned on Chief last week.  For the viewers that are not military, Chief is the highest ranking grade you can go to as an enlisted member in the USAF.  Go babes!! :-)  LOL  You can also find this stencil at www.thestencilcollection.com

Well, once again thanks for stopping by today.  Don't forget to come back and see me soon.  Also, I appreicate all your feeback and I would like to thank everyone who stops by to view my blog.  Have a fabulous weekend!!!

WT265

WOW....I'm on a roll this week.  I think I have done all the challenges for SCS this week.  I'm a bit impressed with myself. LOL  Here is my card for today's WT265 challenge.  The challenge was to put your layers on an angle.  Just such a little thing that adds such punch to your card or altered item.  All the items including the colored image came from my scrap bin.  I am always in my bin for paper, colored images, ribbon.  It's a wonder I don't find my kids in there. LOL  I used SU paper Pretty In Pink, Wild Wasabi and Whisper White.  The dotted paper is from TAC and it's called Catelynne.  The ribbon is from Hobby Lobby.

My image is colored with the following Copics:
R20, R00, R17, R22, R24, YG63, YG65

Thanks for poppin' in today.  See ya back here real soon.

April 7, 2010

Happy hump day everyone.  I hope you all are having a wonderful day.  I'm in my stamp room creating away.  I just love days like this.  Today's card is a feature for SCS Sketch Challenge 275.  This is a super easy sketch to follow.  I used Close to Cocoa, Cameo Coral, Whisper White and Rebecca paper from SU.  I already had the image colored.  I don't remember the stamp set.  I colored the image with my Copic markers but I forgot to write down the colors I used.  Sorry on both counts. :-(  I colored some prisma flowers with my Cameo Coral ink pad.  Last I sponged the edges of my paper with Close to Cocoa and Cameo Coral.

Well, that's my creation today.  I just want to thank everyone who comes by my blog and leaves comments.  I appreciate all the love and feedback.  You guys are AWESOME.  Take care and see ya back soon.

April 6, 2010

Hi everyone.  Welcome back to my blog.  Today I'm making a card for the SCS Color Challenge seen here.  The colors I used today were Soft Suede, Tempting Turquoise  and Certainly Celery.  I really love these colors together.  I tried the brayer technique on this card too.  Super easy to do as long as you don't press too hard on the cardstock.  There are loads of tutorials out there but I love this one the best. I also used my Bow-Easy maker to make my bow.  Gina K has a great tutorial seen here on how to use your bow easy.I used my SU Inspired by Nature stamp set for this card and my TAC word stamp.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Hope you are creating something beautiful today.

My Little Handbag

Happy Monday everyone.  It is just beautiful here in sunny Georgia.  I will say a bit too warm for April (90 degrees).  I will not complain yet.  Here is a little handbag I made over the weekend and it fit perfect for today's SCS challenge TLC267.  Once I figured out how to make this handbag (will LOADS for help from my friend Theresa :-) ) I think it came out pretty good for my first try.  The paper is from my Pink Flamingo pack from Stampin Up.  I used Summer Sun paper for the top of the bag and Real Red ribbon for the handle.  I will say that I need to get thicker ribbon so the handles will stand up next time.  But I'm very happy with my little creation.  I think these will be so cute for the ladies at my job.  Shhh...don't tell them....it's a surprise. :-)  Have a wonderful day everyone.  And don't forget to check out Splitcoaststampers for more creative ideas.

FS165

Happy Easter everyone.  Today I had a chance to play along in the SCS challenge FS165.  Theresa has some AWESOME cards in her gallery for you to case and show your talent.  I cased this lovely card here for my inspiration today.  I just love sunflowers so this was the perfect card to copy.  I switched up the colors and the layout a little bit.  I used my sunflower from The Stamping Studio.  It was so much fun to color this flower.  I used the following Copic Markers:  Y15, Y17, Y19, Y21, YR65, E15, G94, G99, B000 and my colorless blender.  I don't think you can tell by this photo but the flower is outlined with the B000.  I used my white Sharpie marker for my lines.  Once again, off to my scrap bin for paper and ribbon.

Thanks everyone for stopping by my blog today.  I hope to see you back soon.
