Strawberries? Yes Please!!

Hey peeps.  Sorry for being a little MIA.  I have been dealing with some health issues however I'm not going to allow it to stop me from doing the things I love.  It just might take me a little bit longer to get it done but hey when life gives you strawberries, make a card!

Summer is upon us and I'm in the mood for something sweet.  Strawberries? Yes Please!!  What is better than a bunch of fresh strawberries on a hot summer day.  Or even a strawberry smoothie.  Yummy!  What's even better is sending a sweet message to a friend with a cute strawberry border.

The adorable Strawberries On The Border from Technique Tuesday is a perfect way to add some sweetness to your summer inspired cards.  The border crafting die is so easy to use and make such a fun statement.

I quickly colored my strawberries, leaves and flowers with color shine in several different red, green and yellow.  For the flower I just spritzed on a little bit of shimmery white. It's a great way to pull out those color sprays and add them to your card. Next I used the Cool and Sweet crafting dies to triple cut out the sweet sentiment.  I stacked them up for a thicker sentiment.

To complete the card I trimmed down this panel and adhered it to a white card base.  I inlaid the strawberries, leaves and and flowers back in place with glue and lightly sponged on some green chalk round the borders edge.  I then stamped the simply 100% naturally sentiment from the Sweet Summertime stamp set into the front of my panel.  Lastly I glued on the sweet sentiment and my card was complete.

I have a listing below of all the products I used to make this card.  Affiliate links are used at ho cost to you.  Thank you so much for your support by using my links. Thanks for stopping by today.  I'll see you guys back here soon.  Have a fabulous day.

Summer Strawberry Coloring

Hey peeps.  How's your weekend going?  I'm still between households at the moment but wanted to get a quick card made.  I colored these beautiful strawberries up a few weeks ago and they were ready for a card.  Since I'm limited on the craft items I have on hand with me this card is a very clean and simple one.

I used some Bazzill paper to accent my strawberries.  Fresh summer fruit is a most for me.  Since I had outlined the image in a pretty teal color, I thought a strip of teal paper was in order.  I'm going to enter my card into the Sister Act Card Challenge and the Natalie and Amy Challenge.

I could go for some strawberries right now.  Being between households has made it impossible to cook.  All this eating out is terrible for me.  Only a week or so left and I'll be totally relocated to our new place.  I can't wait.  LOL  Gotta run as more sorting and packing is in order.  I'll see you guys soon.

Go forth and be crafty~

Endless Summer- Crafter's Companion

NOTE:  This is my second post of the day.  See my book review here!!

Hey peeps.  Are you ready for summer yet?  I can't wait to go stick my feet in the same and get my tan on.  It seems like the winter dragged on forever this year.  And my poor family and friends in NJ had to deal with way too much snow.  So I have a card that will get you in the mood for summer.

Curtain Call Challenge

Hey peeps.  Well it's the wee hours of the morning and I'm in my stamp room creating.  Another sleepless night but at least I'm busy making cards.  So life is GOOD.  I wanted to enter this card into the Curtain Call Challenge.  Summer is on it's way out and I'm going to miss it.  Even though my favorite season is fall, there is nothing like relaxing time at the beach.

Is It Summer YET?!?

Good morning peeps.  Hope everyone is having a great day.  If you are anywhere near the freezing temperatures like I am here in New Jersey bundle up baby cuz it's cold outside.  I think the high today is 11 degrees.  I need to get back home to Georgia.  This New Jersey native has been "southernized" and can't take the cold any more. LOL

Thought since I am stuck in the house huddled under blankets I would post a card for you.  This summer themed card (yes, I'm already looking forward to summer) is for the Make It Colorful challenge.  I made a beach scene for my image.  Not sure of the name of this image as I colored it up at my friends house.  I made the sand part by coloring white paper with my E30 marker and making the "grains" with E53 and E51.

Hope you enjoyed your visit today.  Hope to be back later in the week with another card.  Be safe and keep warm until then.

Hugs and love~

Is It Summer Yet?

Hey peeps.  I know...sad of me to be asking the question right?  It's not that I want to rush through the holidays or season but I sure would love to be on someone's beach this week.  Yup with a cute cabana boy serving me fresh tropical drinks.  Okay, I better get back to reality.  I'm in Georgia on a rainy and gloomy day.  A girl can wish can't she?  :-)

I'm entering my card into the SCS challenge as well as the Some Odd Girl challenge.  For the SOG challenge you needed to create a background.  Well I created mine with stamps from the Avery Elle All Squared Up stampset.  I used Distressed and SU ink pads.  I think I really like the groovy feeling of this card.  Now, if I could only look like that in a bikini! Sigh....let's not even go there.

Thanks for stopping by everyone.  Have a FABULOUS HUMP DAY!

Hey peeps.  I have been missing in action a lot lately.  Not feeling very well but had the chance to muster up this card.  I'll be sending this one to a friend of mine in California.  I'm sure she will love it.

The image and sentiment is from Bugaboo stamps.  I colored the image with Copic markers and the paper is from Stampin Up.

Thanks for stopping by.

Hey peeps.  Back with a quick card.  I love this image by Kraftin' Kimmie.  Wish I could spend my summer doing this ALL day!  But nope, I have a hobby I need to keep up with.  LOL  I'm entering my card into this week's challenge over at KK.  I think I'm cutting it close but hopefully I can still enter.  Gotta run.  Packing up my son to move to college tomorrow.  OH the TEARS will be FLOWING.  Up, the straight up ugly cry!  Hope I don't embarrass him too much.  Lol

Enjoy The Ride

Hey peeps.  Happy Friday!  Back with a quick card to share with you.  I joined in on the fun over at Digi Haven.  I had this imaged colored up for about a year (I know...crazy) and decided to use it on my card.  The sentiment is from an older TAC stamp set.

My little bear is colored up with Copic makers and I believe the paper is from Echo Park.  Used some chalk for the clouds and my card was complete.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Your Next Stamp After Release Party

Hey peeps!  So how did you enjoy the blog hop for Your Next Stamp?  Some really great sets for you to fall in love with.  Well, I'm not done showing you more cards for inspiration to fill your shopping cart over at Your Next Stamp. For my first card I'm using the Barn Yard Love set.  Isn't this little farmer just the cutest?!?! I used MME On The Bright Side and SU paper for this project.  Of course she was colored with my Copic Markers and I used chalk to make the clouds.

My next card is featuring the Sit Back and Relax set.  Oh I wish I could live in this card.  LOL  This set is so relaxing to me and makes me want to head straight to the beach.  I used watercolor paper and SU ink to color my image.  It matched perfectly with Echo Park Paradise Beach paper.  The background paper is Bazzill and I used my EK punch to add an accent strip down the side of my card.

So glad you had the chance to swing back my today.  Now head on over to Your Next Stamp and fill up a cart with all the new dies and images from this release.  You will be glad you did.

Hugs and love!

Mo's Digital Pencil - School's Out

Hey peeps.  Back with a quick card.  I just had to play along with this week's challenge over at Mo's Digital Pencil. The theme was School's Out!  Well I know a few teachers who are going to be doing some beach retreating away for all of their students.

I have to give a HUGE applaud to all the teachers out there.  You do a remarkable job with sometimes the most challenging kids EVER!!  So I toast to you and a job well done. I can say I never had the patience to be a teacher.  Oh, Lord I would of been fired with some of the kids in this world today.  My mother instinct would of kicked in and a little bit of "who do you think you are talking too?" would be slipping out.  And not in a good way.  LOL

Well thanks for stopping by today.  Hope to see ya back here later in the week.

Hugs and love~

YNS Summer Fun Friday

Hey peeps.  TGIF!!  Time for another Fun Friday at YNS.   But, first I have had one heck of a week.  My hubby and I am during a home project and making a covered porch over our back patio to get ready for the summer.  Well clumsy me ended up getting smacked in the head by a piece of wood.  After a few days of thinking it was nothing I ended up at the ER with a concussion.  REALLY!?!?  I'm not about to slow down now.   I have too much on my plate to get done this month.

So I'm bringing in a little sunshine to my life and card today.  This adorable image called Sun-Sational from Your Next Stamp is available for immediate purchase. Come join in on the fun on this Fun Friday.  Take a moment to enjoy the sunshine.  Head on over to YNS and get to shopping.

Hugs and love~

Happiness is Sweet

Hey peeps.  Back with another challenge card.  I hate that summer is ending and fall is just about to begin.  So I thought I would make one more card with a summer image from Mo's Digital Pencil and join in on their "layers" challenge.  This little one reminds me of  the summer time treat kids love....ICE CREAM!!  And I must say it's not just for the kiddos.  I rather have ice cream for dinner instead of a meal. But I can because I'm GROWN.  LOL

Anyway the colors for my card came from the Color Throwdown Challenge (melon mambo, barely banana, peach parfait and gable green).  I think I might have nailed this one. :-)

Thanks for swing by my place today.  See ya back here soon.

Summer Time with Tiddly Inks

Hey peeps.  Didn't think you would see me back so soon did cha!?!?  Well I was a crafty fool in my stamp room today.  Got caught up on some cleaning and reorganizing and thought I would squeeze in one more challenge before I called it a night.  The Tiddly Inks Challenge is all about summer time.  And what is more summer time than an adorable lady bug?!?  Isn't she sweet.  Didn't want to clutter up my card with a lot of emblishments so I thought I would keep it clean and simple.  Just used the happy summer sentiment from YNS and I was done!!  Sweet summer time card!

Okay now I must head to bed.  I think my crafting mind is done for today.  LOL

Some Odd Girl Color Challenge

Hey peeps.  Hope everyone is doing well and welcoming in  Super Bowl weekend.  Before I get myself all worked up I thought I would post a card before I get my "game face" on.  LOL  I colored up beach Kaylee from Some Odd Girl and entered her into the color challenge.  I have to tell you that I just LOVE these colors together.  I don't know if you can really see it or not but the word "summer" is running along the side of the card.  This is what I hope my waistline will look like by then.  Probably won't happen but a girl can wish right?!?

Off to do a little bit more coloring and then start planning my grocery list to get ready for the game on Sunday.  GO GIANTS!!!!

Hugs and love~
